I just looked at a BX to potentially purchase. It seems to be in great shape but I did notice one thing - When the mid-mount deck is lifted all the way up it hits the rear tire (driver side). I'm wondering if this is common, if there is an adjustment that could be off, or the mower hit something that might have bent something to put it in that position. Any help is appreciated as I'm trying to determine If I am going to purchase the machine.

Thanks!

I'm not a BX man, but someone may have swapped tires or installed spacers. Stock shows to be 26x12.00-12 turf tread tires. I understand there's not much room for customization on those models.

The mmm are sized for the BX and do not touch the rear wheels…any of the three deck sizes…if the current owner added spacers to the rear wheels or upsized the tire diameter then interference with the rears wheels is likely to happen.

I am under the impression that it has not been modified. It is at 160 hours and the owner did not mention any modifications - said he hadn't noticed it was like that.

Not really a mechanical type - just a homeowner who used a tractor around his house and no longer needs it.

Crawl underneath to see if anything is bent. If those are OEM tires, shouldn’t rub anything. Which BX is it?

I have a BX2370 with the 60 inch deck. Make sure the wheels on the deck are located properly. I have rear wheel spacers and do not have any issues with the deck wheels hitting the rear wheels.
