2015 l 3301 hst noise

Has anyone bought a new L3301 HST 4 w.d. that makes so much noise you cain't stand to operate?

Fluid level ok, wines bad in H,M & L gears.
In M- gear picking up load of sand the tractor will not spin tires.
In L- gear picking up load of sand the tractor will spin tires but pulls engine down.

Sounds like a vlv. restriction or cloged up filters.
27 H.R. on tractor.
In shop for 2 weeks.

I have 2 other HST tractors that are quiet.

Bought tractor 3 months ago, a Kubota rep. said I get more bang for my buck buying this tractor over another model. I wonder if he meant more noise for your buck.

Have you brought up the issue with your dealer? Operated other models, or another 3301, to see how they sound?

I bought a new L2501 HST about three months ago which now has 30 hours. The HST on it would probably be the same as in an L3301. My transmission is actually quieter than my old John Deere 3032E. Strange how some whine loudly and some do not.

I have a 2014 3560 hst and it doesn't whine. I might have heard a high pitched whistling once when I was really winding it up. Changing to Super UDT2 at 50 hrs made it even quieter.

You do know that you are not supposed to go full speed, excessive load during the break in period?

It, however, does sound as though yours needs to be checked out by the dealer, the sound you describe is a bit much.

This recent thread has some new 3901 owners. The thread doesn't address your concerns, but if they don't see your post you could email them to ask how loud the sound is. Perhaps several of you could do an experiment posting video recordings at the same speed rpm for comparison...

Robert, are you wearing ear protection and it sounds that loud or is this without ear protection? I have L3901DT and moved it the other day without ear protection and I found the gears loud, but I'm use to hearing it with ear plugs in.

This might help other L3X01HST owner's better compare your tractor to theirs.

Standard L's are louder than Grand L's. They're an economy tractor, if you want more plush, you need a Grand L
