Went to start my tractor up the other day, below freezing conditions. Started as usual set the throttle to about 1100 rpm. Went to the other garage while it was warming up. Started to smell smoke the tractor was spewing white smoke from the exhaust could not even see the tractor in the pole barn. I was able to shut it down but it sounded like it was about to stall. Believe the pcv system had ice in the hose going to the oil separator causing a vacuum in the crankcase. This I believe caused the oil to be pushed up to the top of the cylinders. I was able to pull the injectors and remove the oil but no go on a start. Hope the engine isn’t toast. This tractor never had the cold weather kit installed on It I did ask the dealer about it and Kubota corp. For all those out there that don’t have the cold weather kit installed don’t leave your tractor while doing a warm up. A whole 770 hrs on my baby. Upper michigan
