Apparently the operation is automatic since the M7040 starts right up without having to wait for the glow plugs to heat up. The BX2200 need to preheat a bit, the L48 starts right up but does have a persistent glow plug light. http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/kubota-owning-operating/92236-m7040-easy-checker-glowplug-light.html One more: http://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2919 Last edited: Jul 31, 2013

I've never had it get colder than the 20's here since I've had mine and it'll only come on for perhaps a couple seconds then.
