Hey guys after using the search tool and scrolling through 12 pages, I decided to make a post. This weekend while using my tractor, I cranked it up and started back down the road from my neighbors and noticed I had a dead dash panel. I wiggled the key and stopped and restarted... still no dash. I'm up for suggestions as to what to check first or a schematic of power/ground on the dash.

Thanks in advance, I've creeped on here for a long time before actually joining.

The fuse panel strikes me as a good place to start.

If it is fairly modern then there is probabl a wire harness that plugs onto the back of the dash.

It could be loose or.corroded and not making contact

Loose harness...or MICE!!!!

I recently did the 40A alternator upgrade and had to pull my dash. To my SURPRISE...the entire dash area, and around the gas tank was jam full of STUFF!!!! I had kept the tractor in a shed for a year before putting it back in the garage, and obviously the mice thought it was the "Taj Mahal"!!! 😫

There was only two wires that had the insulation eaten off, everything else was fine. I had ZERO indication that mice had gotten into the tractor. There was no signs of them anywhere on the tractor. Nothing under the hood, and no electrical issues!!!!! The weird thing was there was NO smell!!! In all the crap I pulled out, there were no mouse droppings. I got really lucky!!!!!

I would first pull the dash and see what is going on under there...hopefully just a loose wire harness!! 🤞
