2005 M6800S/ LA1002 loader operation issue

I purchased a 2005 M6800S and sourced a LA1002 loader off of a salvage M6800. After messaging Kubota directly they informed me that that is indeed the correct loader model for this unit based off of the serial#.

I was able to figure out through downloading the LA1002 manual how to hook up the hydraulic lines so that the flow is correct I think. The issue is the loader only works when I hold down or pull up on the lever in the picture

This lever seems to be for operating a hydraulic ram on an attachment through the quick releases on the back.

When the tractor is off the lever seems to have a detent that will hold it in either the up or down position. But when the it is running it will return back to the middle position automatically.

Since it is on the same side as the loader lever in order to operate the loader I need hold the lever down with my knee and operate the loader with my hand. Needless to say that isn’t practical.

Note: If I am in process of raising the loader I can let go of the lever and it will stay in the upper or lower position sometimes. But as soon as I go to lower the loader it returns to center and I need to push it down again to get pressure to the loader lines.

Can anyone tell me what I have done wrong and how I can get this to work properly? Any help would be much appreciated.

It would be fine if I could “activate” the loader by pushing up or down on the lever and it would stay put but having to move both every time just doesn’t work.

Where did you get the loader manual?

Can you post the pages containing the hydraulic instructions you followed so we caan try and understand what you have done and what may not be correct.
How many lines connect to your loader control valve. 6 or 7?

There are 4 quick connect and 3 lines coming from the tractors hydraulic system. I followed the line configuration circled in red here. The lines were already connected on the loader valve side since it was a takeoff another machine and based on the length and angle of the fittings I’m pretty sure they are in the right places to the tractor. I removed the plugs that were there and connected the lines.

It could be that the rotary aux valve is in the wrong position.

It is hard to tell for sure but it looks like the “130” part numbers are the plugs I removed. The top port got the pump line hose and the bottom port got the power beyond hose.

When you say the wrong position is it a matter of in and out position or turning it? I see what looks like a hole in that valve could it need to be turned?

The rotary valve it has a slot on the end of it, and it turns 90 degree's.

Thank you. That seems to be the case. The roll pin/ indicator is all the way to the right at 1oclock but mine is frozen and won’t turn. Is that part 090 a snap ring on the back? I may need to punch it out from the back to get it to turn. It won’t budge and I don’t want to screw up the slot. Already broke two long flat screwdrivers.

Thanks for the advise. Although I had to pull the entire seat area out to get at it I was able to free up the valve and everything works properly now. I would have never figured that out on my own. Thanks again!!!!!

I am getting ready to hook my hydraulics up for a TA26 and really want to grasp this better. I have added a second pair of remotes with a float valve and I have a control block for the loader with 6 ports +/- for each of two sets of cylinders, one pump and one return. My idea was that I need flow in from the pump, flow back to the tank, and the lines from either end of the control cylinders splitting to each pair of cylinders for the loader. From what I gather, hooking the loader to the remote hookups isn't correct as the control lever on the remote block will attempt to regulate flow. The diagram above is confusing me because per my limited understanding, I don't understand what the Power Beyond hookup is doing. It would seem that it is serving the same function as the line from the pump, so I'm unclear why the control valve would need both. Further, the control block that I purchased only has the 6 ports mentioned above; there isn't a place to attach a sept power beyond line.

I apologize for my ignorance, I'm just trying to grasp this better before I ruin something.
