Tractor fires up great and when I move my forward-reverse shifter to move it dies like turning off the switch.
Not starved for fuel as the Bush Hog will start and loader will operate.
Runs fine in neutral position.
any suggestions?
Thanks, Richard in NW SC

There is probably a safety switch that signals that you are sitting in the seat. That may be bad or need adjustment. Or it could be a safety switch on the shifter itself that is bad or needs adjustment.

It would be good if you looked at the wiring diagram or the work shop manual to see what is there and how to troubleshoot the tractor. You may be able to get that here:

I have a new safety seat switch that I will put on tomorrow.
I also have a manual that shows all wireing and switches.
Just have to find it in my books.
