Can the steering contorller on the bx220 be rebuilt or does it have to be replaced. I am having steering problems and a new one is $779.00

What steering problems are you having? It probably isn't your controller! And ,no, they aren't normally rebuilt!

it works fine for a while the fluid is cold. once it gets hot you have to turn the wheel 1/2 to 3/4 turn to move the wheels. the longer you go the worse it gets and gets to the point that the steering wheel just free wheels and wont turn the wheels at all.
The problem is most likely the o-ring on the piston in the steering ram. a fairly easy fix and the o-ring is standard, available at any automotive store.
