If you have a GM truck within these years did you know you can get low beams on with your high beams for about $3.00 while using you existing wiring, fuses & relays? You could even add your fog lights for about $.20 more if you wanted to do so. No I did not come up with the way to do it but after you do it you will "Own the night" :D

I did the whole kit & ka-boodle. I believe like others on this site you can never have enough light . I also replaced my stock lighting with PIAA bulbs. Yes, I know only 4 forward lights are allowed in most, if not all, states in the good Ole USA. I don't know about other countries. If stopped for it, I'll play dumb and say I got my headlights and fog lights that equals 4 right? The best part is that it is easily reversible. I live in a very rural area with a ton of wildlife; being able to see them quicker is golden for me.

Here is a link to another forum (NOT as good as ours here) that has a PDF in the first post.

Maybe this should been the Fab/Custom section. I put it here because it isn't about a tractor.

Can I play devil's advocate, for a minute? Please don't flame me- I am just speaking my mind, not trying to start a fight.
How much light is too much? I drive a 3/4 ton Dodge truck, 4WD, with a slight suspension lift in the front to level the truck; it is a tall truck. As high as I sit, some of the headlights used still blind me. I know they have their low beams on, because either I saw them dim them, or the fog lights are on, which only (usually) work on low beams. Yet, these high-intensity bulbs are still blinding me, up high in my truck. I understand wanting to see better, but at what point should that not be at the expense of the other driver? When I drive my wife's car, it's worse because we sit lower. Maybe my vision is too sensitive; I don't think so, because not all of them are so bright. But, some of them are downright blinding, causing me to have to look far to the right to see the sideline on the road. They might as well keep their high beams on. I haven't upgraded any of our bulbs, for that very reason- to be considerate to other drivers.

Of course you can play whatever role you want :p When they are on low beam everything is within DOT compliance. The only thing I have done was to add extra light while on high beams. I am very considerate when approaching or coming up behind other drivers. I am not a fan of the type of lights that have color (blue, purple of green). When I am the only one on the road I don't think you can have tooooo much lights, deer, elk, moose and bear are everywhere.

P.S. I used to have a bit of issue with more of the lights out there. I was told it would most likely get worse when I had lasic surgry done. I was very happy when my issue actually got much better :)

I hear ya hodge those bright blue white lamps are blinding to say the least, comming at you or from behind. I have a bud that bought a HID lighting system for his road glide, hell rideing with him at night I dont even have to turn mine on,,lol,, but I always do ride behind him other wise ya wind up with a sun burn onthe back of your neck:D

I used N914-Type Diodes from Radio Shack Their catalog number is 276-1122. I spent $1.75 for a pack of 10. One thing you have to do is make sure the band is on the correct side. Otherwise the power goes the way you don't want it to go. Were you able to download the PDF?
