Hello.
I searched this forum for something similar to my questions, but didn't seem to find it. Sorry if the answer is elsewhere.
My 3301 ran fine one day, but the next I got nothing. By nothing, I mean no electrical at all when the key was turned. I discovered the 50 amp slow blow fuse by the battery was blown. I tracked the electrical to the glow plug relay, which according to my tester was fine. The tractor will now start without the glow plug relay.
This would tell me the issue is somewhere between the glow plug relay connector and the plugs themselves. I can't visually inspect the plugs because the fuel tank and a bunch of other things are in the way.
I have the current workshop manual and it appears that in order to change the plugs I would have to remove the fuel tank. I called the local dealer mechanic and he gave me a wishy washy answer that I could remove some things to get to the plug wires to test but would not elaborate. I just had the entire wiring harness replaced by the shop under warranty because of a defect. (The wiring harness is installed to the Engine ECU upside down, so moisture can run inside of it...)
Does anyone have any ideas what I would need to remove/move to at least get my tester in there. I will pull the tank if need be, but if I don't have to mess with it I would rather not.
Thank you.
