Been pondering hard and searching a lot for a simple, accurate, durable bucket level indicator.
I have used my tractor a lot to clear thick trails where there were none so the typical rod indicator would surely get bent. (Which I had considered making it easily removable, but just something else to deal with, lol)
I started to use some guy wire cable in a pipe then thought about the Pex, bingo.
When I got the tractor years ago it had the pins already for an indicator.
So I utilized them and some zip ties, will probably attach it a little more rigid down the road, but I got anxious to get it on.
I used 3/8" and 3/4" (1/2" will slide in but to much friction with it arched. I heated up one end and flattened it, drilled hole for the pin. Top end of larger tube I cut a long bevel on half of the end so I can see when it's on the other side of the mark. When I get it on concrete I will mark it with a sharpie, then do the same for my forks. Eventually I want to make a "plumb bob" gravity type indicator for the pallet forks so I can tell level at any height.
