Well here in Southern Illinois we usually dont see 10 inches of snow very often unlike the folks up North who would consider that a flurry :) I got up early and using just my rear blade and FEL I went driveway to driveway and made some good fast cash. If only it would snow like this once s week! Never had so much --n working! :D

Details please. I have not had a chance to push any serious snow with my 3800.

How much snow are you able to move at once. Were you just pushing straight through 10 inches of snow? Was it coming over the blade? Was there a sticking point where you lost traction? Rear plow blades only weigh about 200 lbs. Was it a sufficient counter weight?

Did you use for FEL more or your Rear Blade?

I would say each situation will slightly differ depending on several factors, including but not limited to; Snow depth, powder like snow, wet slush type and if any ice is involved. In my case, the snow was all fresh and powder like. I am no pro, however the system I used was to back up to garage door drop the rear blade and pull snow out away far enough that I could get behind it with the FEL then simply pushed and I would then empty bucket on sides of drive. This was on concrete not gravel. I have loaded R4s and since I was not dealing with ice I was able to get plenty of traction. The gravel drives I dealt with I used the loader in float with the bucket slightly tilted up as not to dig into gravel. I also found using the blade with tractor in reverse to "push" the snow I was able to move quite a bit across gravel without messing the drive up. All in all, each drive I did I figured out new tips and tricks to use on the next. I hope this helps. Chad.

BTW...... 60inch rear blade and 60inch bucket.

This is looking out my back dining room window towards my backyard. The snow has melted some so it does not look nearly as bad in this pic I just took as it did when it first came down 3 days ago!!

I was pushing Ice Sheets myself at 6am this morning. I had a funky situation were it snowed last night and then we got freezing rain on top of that. The small layer of snow under the ice made it easy to get the bucket blade under the ice.

My L3800 looked like one of those Alaskan Ice Breaking Boats pushing its way though the ice.

Nice! We buy crickets for our two bearded dragons. They love them! :)

Used my bx1800 for the first time using the snowblower. Only about 1.5 inches, very pleased how quickly it was done.

Central NY is going to get 2-3 feet in the next day or so!Tug Hill Lake effect.
Redfield got six feet, We got 2 feet in 4 hours. I guess if you don't like snow then better not live east of Lake Ontario.
