Got a L2850DT with BF 550 fel, toying with the idea of replacing the control valve and joystick with a newer model. Hoping to gain some finesse with the controls and float position. Anybody successfully accomplished this?

Done several swaps, it does make them much smother.
I would avoid regen valves, they don't work very well with older hydraulic systems.
