I'm having 6 rows of trees planted this spring and was trying to figure out the best tool for keeping them clean. Rototiller is slow and I have a lot of rocks so that was out right away. A 3pt disc was my next option and I still might keep my eyes open for one just so I have another option if the weeds do ever get taller then I'd like. I had a old 12 row cultivator in the trees with s tine shanks on it so I figured this would be a good Easter weekend project. 72" wide. 4" shovels on the first 2 rows and 6" on the back. I wasn't sure how hard it would pull so that's why I did 72" I did a test run with it in the soil where the trees will be planted and the 2650 had no problem pulling it. I might add some wing extentions on it in time but we will see. The tree rows are 16' apart. Was a very easy build for a Saturday Morning. Was throwing paint on it by 3pm. Here's the pics.
