I've got a B2620 that came with a front bucket, and a 60" rear blade.
Had my first taste of clearing snow on the weekend and it was not fun. The rear blade is unique for clearing snow...not sure I like it though. When you turn, you loose all the snow that your trying to pull.
Also, with only a manual angle, what a Pita to get on/off the tractor all the time to change this.
So...I had a the pleasure of driving a B3000 with cab a few years back with a front blade. It had hyd. angle, but the subframe mount what didnt work to hot. Reason, the lift height was a paltry 8-10" or so, just enough that you might clip the curb when trying to lift over it. That and you can really put any aggressive angle to the blade when trying to clear the packed stuff.
The company I work for has me plow in our companies parking lot and upgrade the Kubota B3000 to Volvo L60G $160K loader. Yes, it takes about 1/8" of the time it did to plow now lol...but with the Volvo it has a front blade on the fork arms, and I can hyd. tile the front blade as well as lift as high as I want and change the angle.
I don't think kubota makes one that mounts on the bucket arms, without going to the subframe mount...plus I don't think there is enough hydraulic connections to offer 3rd function? Wouldn't there need to be 6 hyd. lines to connect to up front? I see only 4 stock. Perhaps a electric angle?
Regardless I'm thinking to buck up and get a SSQA while I'm at it. Perhaps now is the time to do this?
Looking forward to advice!
