M6800 Shifting problems

I have a M6800 utility special with a manual shuttle shift. After sitting for the winter I went to move the tractor and now it is stuck in reverse. If I put the tractor in forward, It stalls the motor.

I pulled the shifter top off the main box, lubed all the linkage, This feels like a forward/reverse synchronizer problem to me...

Am looking for some advice before I start splitting the cases.

If I'm looking at this right, the shuttle shift is not accessible in the main gearbox, the only accessibility is under the dash/column check the there is an adjustment on that linkage that might be causing your problems.
If it's out of adjustment or binding it could be getting stuck between forward and reverse.

I owned a M4900 with syncro-shuttle that locked in reverse that required splitting and a new shuttle assembly. I hope your tractor doesn't require splitting.
