When you go on kubotausa.com the page that comes up shows a BX with R14 tires on it ..... has anybody "heard" if Bx's will be offered soon with R14 tires ? If i "build" a BX it doesnt show R14's as an option, yet.

Are you possibly mistaking the industrial tires as R14? The ones I saw on that website all look like industrial tires. See attachment below for BX tire selections from the BX brochure from the website.

I read ur replies then went on kubotausa.com and the page that comes up right away shows a BX with R14s ... theres 5 pictures like a slide show that swipe off to the left auhnd the first one has R14s. Google it ..... Goodyear R14s ... the outer edges of the tires are like an Ag tire but theres also smaller tread blocks in the middle of the tire. B tractors can be ordered with them as an option. On kubotas site u can tell its a BX cuz u can read the loader model .... its a LA344 ..... BX and the guy looks big on it cuz its small.

R14s arent readily available in our sizes yet. Rears you can get for big bucks... fronts I have yet to find that arent preorder.

I like them, but their huge money right now.

I know you can factory build some of the B tractors with R14's, but it doesn't seem so on the BX. I hope they make that a BX option, looks like a great tire choice for what many BX's are used for.

Mulling around re shoeing one of my M9000's with the R14's this fall. Been reading reviews and I'm impressed with the longevity in road applications.

It looks like the R14 tires are available for the larger than BX18xx series tractors. If you own a BX23xx (and some other BX series) the following are available from Titan-intl.com. I don't know if Kubota has those sizes but if you already have a larger than BX 18xx series and want to upgrade to R14 tires here is a link to the ones on the Titan-intl website.

That is 1760 lbs total. How many pounds do you think a BX will carry in the FEL? I cannot see any scenario where a BX will safely handle more than the 1760 lbs including the weight of the tractor and the weight in the FEL.

Well according to the manual....
BX23S tractor 1600#
loader frame 500#
bucket+load 700#
backhoe 600#
operator+fuel 250#

total weight is 3650#

Static... 3600/4=900 per tire, so fronts are maxxed out which isn't a good thing, especially if you add the stress of driving !

I've already had a pair of front 'bubble out' with less than 200hrs on them. I'd buy Kenda tires but can't get them here in Ontario.

It does not work that way. The backhoe hanging behind the rear axle takes weight off the front axle. So you cannot just average the total weight per tire...

It'd be nice to toss a fully loaded BX23S on 4 weighscales and SEE what the actual point loads are..
Having had 10" of 'high density' white arrive over night, I'm not in the mood to build 4 1,000# scales....

There's another tire option for BX's …. Carlisle Versa Turfs …. JD is offering these as an option on their series 1 tractors. They are radials and rated for 825# each for the fronts, 1760# for rears. So, if you don't have a FEL or don't use it much or load it heavy …. could be a decent option that wouldn't tear up lawns. They claim 60% deeper tread than a reg turf but not too aggresive. Similar to the Goodyear (TITAN) R14T. R14Ts come in bias and radials.

Carlisle makes an R 14 tire also, called a Versa Turf.I found them at Miller Tire for a reasonable price too. They carry sizes to fit the BX tractors.

Kubota had a hand in with designing these so I doubt you would have a problem with them. Plus that's a "safe" load rating. I ordered these this morning for my bx23's from my local tire shop. They are $89 for the fronts an $131 for the rears mounted to my rims. I tried my Kubota dealer but he doesn't have any pricing info yet.
