Hey everyone, I just added a landpride QH15 quick hitch to my L3901 and like I've read, it gets super close and will even hit the tail lights depending on how my top link is adjusted. I've dropped the side links to their lowest hole but the handles on the quick hitch still get super close if I have the top link shortened up for certain tasks. My question is, has anyone come up with a solution to keep the hitch from busting out the tail lights or is it something I'm just going to have to live with and be mindful of?

Adjust the stops on the lever control so that it can't hit the lights. ;)

On my L3301 the up stop is not adjustable.
I removed the up stop screw and stop plate, and hammered the plate flat, which moved the stop position further down. I also repositioned the top link to the top hole on the tractor [emoji609].

My most used 3pt implement is brush cutter. With it I adjust top link so as to make the QH perpendicular to the ground. Even with the levers unlocked, they miss tail lights by 1/4".

When using box blade with rippers, then I have to shorten top link. Have to be mindful then.

I think all operators of this size tractor should be mindful of the quick hitch’s position to the rear fenders when the lift is full up.

After looking at your pictures I am wondering if you need to fab a stop to limit the the up side. It looks as if the pto shaft is at a pretty good angle, thus an up side stop would keep the QH out of the fender/lights and save the wear on the pto shaft.

Your observation of the PTO shaft angle in the full up position has brought great concerns to me also.
After observing the full lift up and down movements.
Limiting the needed up travel, in my opinion will not decrease the needed PTO shaft angle.
Just my thoughts, I believe I should remove the PTO extender and get a longer PTO shaft.
Getting a new PTO shaft will be on my soon to do list.

Now I can see why the North Idaho Wolfman don’t like PTO extender.
