Recently purchased B6000 and checked oil level. Barely touching the dip stick so I'm going to drain what's there and fill. I'm in a mild climate (up to 25C or 77F) so the fill cap and owners manual say SAE 20. Not exactly common so wondering if I should definitely use 20W, or can I substitute...

Interesting, just purchased and previous owner said it was grey market, but all decals are in English and the Compton Cal label tells me it was sold new in US. Not that it matters, but plan on refurbishing and keeping it alive for the next caretaker in the future.

I know early s/n won't give a year of production, but was wondering what expected number range might be. Mine is B6000-67920. Also curious as to years Kobota was located in Compton CA.
