Sorry I meant oil filter not fuel

I just bought an early l1500 worked fine for a few days and now when I turn the starter it makes a sluggish turning sound and won’t crank. Eventually after trying several times it quit even trying to turn. I hooked cables up to the battery and it did nothing. I’m guessing starter but not sure...
