    B2650 shortened control arm?

I have a 3901 and my loader joy stick doesn't come close to bumping the steering wheel, but it's mounted entirely differently so that's not relevant. Looking at pictures of B2650 it seems that the cab model stick is taller than the open station. FWIW, when I added the C-Function kit to my WR...

    B2650 shortened control arm?

An easy way to avoid TF shut off when bumping the steering wheel: turn the knob so the buttons are on top. That should be easy to do by backing off the screws that hold it to the joy stick. The wire loom running down the joy stick will be twisted a bit but you should be able to sort that.

    LA 525 drops before lifting

Another poster on Orange Tractor, Carroll DuVall ( https://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/threads/fel-valve-problems.65560/ ), had a problem with the same valve in his spool valve on a different loader. The Yw368-93100 was listed for his loader but he ran into the discontinued problem. He...

    LA 525 drops before lifting

So the paper work and the decal agree. I don't know exactly what part is being sent to me today, my supposed expert did have the spool valve model and serial so he could have ordered the correct valve. How can I have an R number for a 2016 loader and you have an F number for a 2021 loader?

    LA 525 drops before lifting

According to my 2016 sales contract, my LA 525 serial number is R6038. But my tractor and loader are older than yours so that number doesn't seem right. SN's starting with A must mean early machines and mine was sold 2 years after the L3901 was introduced. Unfortunately, the decal showing the...

    LA 525 drops before lifting

I had thought about using the bucket check valve, but having the bucket sorta out of control would have been worse than the boom. I have to load horse manure from a pit then dump it into a trailer to haul to a veggie farm. Not having tight control of the bucket would have meant s**t falling all...

    LA 525 drops before lifting

I have one on the way this morning but was going to wait to announce until it was in my hand. Remembering from old motorcycle days, I know some dealers in a large network will likely have NOS of items no longer listed by the mfg. So I called Marshall's, my local dealer, yesterday and asked the...

    LA 525 drops before lifting

I will be careful. I think I can manage it even if the cycle time from poo pit to dump trailer is longer for each bucket load. Thanks for your advice. Still looking for a replacement check valve. Early this morning thought I had one, Bane-Welker web site said it was in stock and took my order...

    LA 525 drops before lifting

Dan, is there harm in using the loader without the check valve? I mean other than dropping something that isn't meant to be dropped. I think I can manage the bad behavior loading the manure that really, really needs to go to my farmer friend - our poo pit is much overloaded!

I forgot to say that Dan correctly diagnosed the problem being the check valve on the boom side of the loader valve. Once more: Thank you Dan!

    LA 525 drops before lifting

Well that "tomorrow" came with COVID so I have been out of order for a few weeks. I finally looked into the check valve and it wasn't there. On removing the cap, there was just a hole. That didn't seem right so I opened the check valve cover for the bucket and there was one there. So it seems...

Open Cage Style Four Post ROPS

Sorry for not responding earlier. I have been out of tractor bidness a few weeks thanks to a case of covid. OK now and happy to supply any details you wish. Tube size? Connection to Kubota brand sunshade? Mounts for lights? Electrical supply from battery to fuse box on one post? Rear view...

Open Cage Style Four Post ROPS

I did exactly what you asked about in the first post - square tubes as front posts. Started with stock Kubota sunshade. Last pic shows amateur overbuilding - my square tube is overkill. My tractor is a L3901, not an M. I can still remove the loader but it would be a real PITA! All attachments...

That makes sense and I found a drawing of the parts that are supposed to be in the check valve. Will try tomorrow.

The C- Flow kit does provide for a constant flow, but I do worry about overheating. The Lane Shark works well for my application, cutting back brush from roads and pathways. I wish it did brush like a hair clipper does hair, but it takes repeated passed to do the job. OTOH, it way faster than...

    LA 525 drops before lifting

I understand the boom spool isn't working correctly, and I'm happy you say it's an easy fix? Is it to pop in a new spool valve? That would be easy, but not happy! Soon I have to make 4 trips to a local farm with a full dump trailer to dispose of horse poop mixed with stable bedding - real...

    LA 525 drops before lifting

I disconnected the hoses to the Lane Shark as well as the C-return hose to the T after the 3rd function valve: the problem remains even with absolutely no connection to the Lane Shark. (Note: this loader problem did not exist when I first operated the Lane Shark - that argues against an install...

    LA 525 drops before lifting

I get one thing fixed with Dan's help then find another problem. Now pulling back the joystick to raise the FEL causes it to drop unless it's pulled back quickly. I don't see how this is relevant but I did add a WR Long C-Flow kit in order to use my new Lane Shark front end mower. Lane Shark...

    L3901 Loader Failure

Not surprised you come out of a smart crowd because you fit in a smart crowd. Glad you are part of the Orange Tractor Crowd. I'm new but I see how much you are appreciated. Now tell me if 30 pound-feet torque is OK for quick connects to the FEL valve because that's what I set them to. Allen
