    Ballast weights

I guess i'm fancy, i just use a 3 point ballast box filled with gravel.

    Snow chains…do I need them?

I put a set of r14s on my b2601 in the winter for plowing, just because they look a heck of a lot more aggressive than my turf tires i mow with. Sadly, in the 2 years since i owned this tractor, we never once had a heavy enough snow to warrant plowing, so i have no idea how they work yet.

Overheating and now stalling - I don’t feel good about this.

did you blow the actual radiator out too? fine dust finds its way down there, even with the screen, and will block the fins up eventually.

    Mower deck not projecting

There's a clog in your bagger tubing somewhere downstream from the boot on the mower deck. Start at the back of the bagger, put your arm up the outlet and see if you can feel any sticks blocking it. If not, take the hose from the blower to the bagger loose, look inside. If nothing's there...

    BX2601 with BX23 size tires????

I don't know about bx sized tires, but different models of the B use smaller tires, the smallest is the b2401 and it uses 5-12s in the front and 8-16s in the rear, and it's the same chassis, so you could try something like that.

BX23's are NOT for mud gripe!

The bx's are basically an overgrown garden tractor, the main reason i didn't go with one is they have very little ground clearance. My brother has one so i got to play around with it a lot, his works good for him because he lives in basically a corn field that they started building houses on...

    flat (book) rate service

well they SHOULD be able to give you an estimate provided they actually did the diagnostic work FIRST. Instead of just saying, "Meh, i dunno, we're going to try some parts then we'll figure it out afterwards".

    flat (book) rate service

That's pretty much how all dealership mechanics work anymore. I've had much better luck at local shops rather than dealerships. It definitely irritates me because i actually was a dealership mechanic at one point a long time ago, and the amount of scrutiny and quality control the dealership...

BX Series Land Pride Grooming Mower vs. Belly Mower

A belly mower is a heck of a lot more maneuverable than a finish mower. My property has way too many trees and flower beds and all that, so there's basically no way i could even use a finish mower if i wanted to. Finish mowers are more for if you got a wide open space and you're doing long...

    rotary cutter question, please

If it's newer, it could still have a coating of oil on top of it from the factory maybe, or they just spilled oil on it when filling it up at the dealer, and all you're seeing is just rainwater and that mixing with that residual oil. Or it could be that the vent was venting oil out, maybe...

    RC48 grass cutting deck adjustment

You could buy one of those fancy mower deck height gauges. I broke down and bought one, they're not that expensive, but like anything on amazon anymore it can take weeks to arrive.

    RC48 grass cutting deck adjustment

If it's not even for your tractor, i don't know how useful the service manual is going to be. The way i usually level a mower deck is measure from the blades to level ground. It needs to slightly lower in front, like say 1/8"-1/4". Then side to side it should match whatever setting you have...

    Exhaust Fumes

You might want to check and make sure the exhaust isn't leaking anywhere first, before you move on to the position of the muffler. A small exhaust leak can definitely make people sick even on smaller tractors like this. As far as vertical, a muffler that small might be just as bad in the...

    B2601 Front Blade Questions

If you have the la435 loader, the plow blade attaches to that just exactly like a fel bucket does. You don't need any additional subframes or anything, just hook it up to the loader, attach the lines, and that's it. I mean...you COULD modify that loader in your pic to work, sure, but you'd be...

    Im new

I have about 10 acres, mostly wooded, and i bought a b2601. It's mostly used as a overgrown lawnmower with a grass catcher on it. The grass catcher btw, althought it works well, requires you to remove the 3 point lift, as well as the back tires, in order to remove and install it, wish i would...

    La435 won't sit straight

I eventually figured it out. Basically, it was just put together improperly. Btw, this would have been made a lot easier if i could find a workshop manual for the LA435, which apparently doesn't even exist. But in case anyone else runs into this problem: The silver pivot brackets, numbered...

    La435 won't sit straight

Nah, I didn't finance it, i own it. I prefer to avoid the dealer because they screwed several things up on the tractor before they delivered it to me, which i fixed myself. I had them fix one thing for me, and i ended up losing the tractor for 2 months while they worked on it, so I'm not eager...

    La435 won't sit straight

I've had trouble getting my loader on my b2601 on and off since day 1. The dealer I got it from messed several things up on it themselves that i eventually had to repair myself, so i'm thinking this is something they screwed up in the first place that i've made steadily worse over time. After...
