I took the bolt out holding the stopper, part #90. I was then able to lift the arm, part #70, up and turn it left or right where it needed to be. After about a minute of messing with it it engaged in the slot and sat nicely where it needed to and shifted properly.

The bolt and clamp is #90 and #100, i didnt know what #90 is called. If 70 isn’t engaged in the slot how do I get it to engage? Do I have to pull it up and turn it until it is the direction?

I just split a L3300GST to fix a leaking propeller shaft. When I took the dash off, it pulled the shifting lever that goes into the transmission a couple of inches before I realized. After getting it all together, it won’t go into forward and reverse and sometimes it’s inbetween grinding...
