    Well that adds a whole new angle I suppose. Messicks has the Kubota replacement cylinder for $1,095 but being new to tractor ownership is why I came here. Local Kubota dealership has the seal kits for $150 so with that cost differential seemed like a no brainer.

    Oh wow, okay. I didn't even think about that as a possibility, I ordered a 1/2" brass punch yesterday, but I'll keep an eye on it while going slow to see if I need to modify the plan. Thanks a lot.

    That makes sense, once the lines are off it'll let the end cap relax pressure on that cir-clip snap ring. I really appreciate the help RCW and D2Cat.

    Thanks for jumping in D2Cat, After cleaning it looks like a snap ring of sorts but not flat and no tabs with holes for snap ring pliers, more like wire with a split in it, maybe meant to get behind it with a pick and work it around? It's also possible I'm being overly picky about it and...
