I appreciate the quality of Kubota engineering and construction, but there is room to improve on serviceability... The pumps have been removed and the splines appear in essentially perfect condition.

No progress on this investigation to report yet. Everything i attempted this weekend ended up in worse shape than it started, so this is being postponed lest a bolt break off in the block or something even less desirable should occur.

I'll pull the pumps and report back on the findings.
