Kubota L3010 won’t shut off with key

I bought my L3010 last year and it had the same problem. Bottom 2 fuses in the fusebox were corroded. I tried finding the correct electrical terminals to put in the box, but it never worked out. I ended up adding a second, small fusebox to make a permanent repair. Joe

    Diesel Runaways

In every one of those instances I'd be terrified of the flywheel shattering. You only have to see that once to gain a healthy respect for it. Joe

The tractor didn't want to move - Front tires Pidgeon toed

Glad that worked out for the best! Better a tie rod end than a ball joint/bearing/or whatever else that wheel pivots on. Joe

    Won’t start

If you didn't bleed the fuel system after replacing the fuel filter, you've just diagnosed it. Your symptoms exactly match what will happen when you don't. Follow the procedure posted by Dave and you'll be all set. Joe

    Tier 4 Diagnostic plug

Any chance anyone has a picture of the diagnostic connector on their Tier 4 Kubota? I'm in need of one. Thanks! Joe

Perhaps this is common knowledge for MX owners ....

    Glad that worked out! Joe

Thieves Can Steal Modern Cars By Tapping Into a Headlight Wire

Almost all auto manufacturers are protecting their cars with secure gateway modules. It's been working well so far. Like anything though, I'm sure it'll be defeated eventually. Joe

Thieves Can Steal Modern Cars By Tapping Into a Headlight Wire

They can already do that, and more. https://www.wired.com/2015/07/hackers-remotely-kill-jeep-highway/

    Fried ECU

It might not be a voltage spike that's killing them. Weak batteries also allow there to be more AC ripple from the alternator. They all leak AC voltage. We did a bunch of testing on that in the mid 90s on cars/pickups when aftermarket engine controllers were first hitting the market. There...

    Robin's. Who's got them?

The migrators got here a few days ago. A good mix of males and females have been feeding most of the day in the back lawn. In in Central NC, but not far south of the Virginia line. It's nice to see them back. I was just in Atlanta and the males are already singing and setting up...

    Chains VS Industrial R4 tires

I've never tried 2 link chain, but it sounds like I should give it a go. I've got double ring duo on my Ford 871D with Ag tires. They really do grab. Once I switched to them I never looked for anything else. This Kubota is my first tractor with turf tires. also my first 4WD tractor. Here...

Bx2350 Engine Knock After Getting Hot

Anything is possible, but it's really unlikely. Looks like you're going back in.

    Chains VS Industrial R4 tires

No, but find a place that can help you get the right ones. I like the double ring duo style chains and will get a set for my L3010, but you're going to need to make sure you have clearance for them, or any others you put on there. The cool thing though is that any chains will be great in...

    Chains VS Industrial R4 tires

That's a REALLY good idea! I've always used wood. Sometimes plywood. Sometimes planks. whatever was handy. I've got an old Rumely DoAll on steel wheels. The cleats on it are big and it makes short work of plywood, and tosses ramps out from under it like it's allergic to them :D. Those big...

    Chains VS Industrial R4 tires

Speaking for only myself, I think it is as simple as this: When you are in 4WD and have good traction, which happens at times even when things are slippery, you will get driveline bind on uneven ground or when turning. Driveline bind had to be relieved at the weakest link, which is virtually...

    Chains VS Industrial R4 tires

Good chains, properly installed, don't move around or slide off the tires. For 20 years I lived in a lake effect snow area and used my tractors for plowing and snow blowing. I ran chains on all my tractors. They make a world of difference. As previously advised, don't put them on the front...

Bx2350 Engine Knock After Getting Hot

The new Snap-on ones are almost $700.00 and adapters are all over $50.00 each. I got mine probably 35 years ago, so I bet I paid half that. Like the Chinese torque wrenches, they probably go out of calibration after a few uses, but for $40.00 it sure would work great for the occasional user...

Bx2350 Engine Knock After Getting Hot

I'm definitely surprised to see them for $50.00. Wow. The adapters for mine are probably more than that! LOL. What's the thread on the glow plugs, to make sure he can get the right adapter? Joe

Bx2350 Engine Knock After Getting Hot

One was discolored. Get them out of there and get them checked. Not many folks can get their hands on a diesel compressions tester, but if you can, check the compression before you yank the injectors, as Wolfman says.

Bx2350 Engine Knock After Getting Hot

If one was a different color, then play it safe and pull them out of there. Take them to an pump/injector shop and have them tested. I bet you're going to need a couple of tips and one new injector. Make sure you tell them it has a loud knock. They will most likely be able to tell you if...
