Pros and cons of snow removal options

Thanks for the follow up, glad to hear it works well for you. Given that it leaves snow behind, I'll stick with my rear snowblower and Trex decking on the FEL bucket, given that gets down to the pavement itself - living in Maine, if I leave any snow on the surface it will become ice very...

Pros and cons of snow removal options

I've been using Trex decking as my winter blade edge, would these simply replace those or do you then need an edge to go with it? I feel like it'd still leave 1/4" of snow below the bucket, if these alone were used? They look very similar to the skid pads that are on the rear snowblower, but...

Quick attach bucket hooks and receiver

+1 for JU - it's great and has proven to be quite durable.

Snow plowing using blade with rubber edge

A very cheap option, and what I've used the last three years, get a stick of Trex decking, and drill holes. Not sure how it will work on gravel, as our driveway is paved, but an option that for sure won't break the bank - since I'm using it on the bucket (only 4' wide) I was able to get two...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

WOW - I just paid $4.59/gallon for diesel, even with your mentioned discounts, I would still be paying more than $4/gallon - and normal gas under $2/gallon!! I only use 93 octane (both my car and truck call for it), and I'm paying $4.79/gallon for that. Crazy!

Anyone try these (BX tractor upgrade)?

Again, I'm not calling you out, there was zero finger pointing or saying you're a liar. I just want to see these things in operation, other than a dude pulling a scale on the ground, or lifting an EMPTY bucket higher. I'm sure the physics are there, larger cylinders should produce more power...

Anyone try these (BX tractor upgrade)?

I'm still not seeing any proof of folks using them. I see a video where they show "how many lbs it can lift" with a scale, but still nothing showing it actually lifting a thing, either higher or bigger (heavier). Could you provide links to such things? I'm not calling you out, more so the...

Anyone have a BXPanded FEL Dolly?

Bummer.. If I end up putting the loader back on anytime soon, I'll try to snap a video - I don't own any actual camera equipment and I've yet to teach my pup how to hold my phone for video taking, so even if I get a video, it may not be what you're looking for. That said I'm hoping I don't need...

The beaches near me use something like this, like a tiller on steroids, works amazingly well, leaves nice soft sand in its wake - although they use New Holland tractors, so no orange :( https://www.beach-tech.com/en/beach-cleaners/beachtech-2500

Anyone have a BXPanded FEL Dolly?

I'd say it's actually easier to take off with the stand than it was on flat ground, unless you don't align the dolly correctly, then it's a bit of a crap show. As for being able to move the FEL around, I can easily wheel it around into the garage, back out, etc, with ease, and I'm a cyclist...

Anyone have a BXPanded FEL Dolly?

I have one and love it! Highly recommend, it stopped me from tearing up the driveway, or continuing to struggle taking it off weekly for mowing duties, and it not being just right on level ground, and causing all sorts of damage to the ground/tractor/loader... If you have a piece of level...

I've had that same 80v saw for the last three years, I don't think I'll ever own a gas powered saw again, that thing is a beast - and you can buy a new bar and chain for less than $30 (together) - fantastic to hear it survived a drive-over.

    better blowers?

I've had mixed results with Fluid Film in my SB1051 (little brother to your blower). Its good for about one snow blowing session, then have to reapply. This year we've had almost no snow, so just ran it as it was, same as what you're showing, packed main area, and with really wet snow, the chute...

BXpanded under armor plate installation issue?

Mine went on without removing anything (other than the mid-mount mower), also on a BX2380. The only issue I had was getting it to come back down in the spring, when it's time for the mower to go back on, as the armor plate doesn't weigh enough to lower without some assistance (pulling/pushing...

Are these seat covers supposed to be that loose? Something like that would annoy me while sitting on them, if it created any kind of bunching - maybe its a non-issue once you're seated, just seems like an ill-fitting seat cover?

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

This makes me want a cab even more, last night when I was snowblowing, I couldn't see anything as the spray from the blower was getting picked up by the wind and I ended up munching two of my driveway markers (luckily I didn't cause any harm to the blower)...

    Slush buster…

In these instances, I'm glad I have a rear snowblower, as I can use the FEL to push this crappy slush off the driveway. And if it's only a few inches, I'll use my little lawn tractor with a snow blade. The rear snowblower can "push" the slush, but it's a lot more work than needs to be.

    ROPS lights stopped working...

I went ahead and pulled apart the installation I had performed last year, and did find two connections loose... one on the red wire of one light, and one of the black light of the other.. I pulled the bullet connectors off and added a standard two way heat-shrink connector (at least I think...
