That's what I've been doing for quite awhile now, but apparently it's gotten worse. Now I have to reach down and wiggle it manually, the range lever doesn't do it anymore.

Not unless you count one year there when I was one year old!

Ok, I don't know the technical name, and near as I can tell the parts manual just calls it "switch". It's the neutral safety switch at the base of the hi-lo range lever, I have to reach down and manually wiggle a slotted white plastic doohickey to get the tractor to start. Wiggling the lever...
