    Hey, Dummy

I won't even get into talking about the mistakes I have made. I'm like Northwoods, and I was an industrial electrician like FOREVER! Most of my work was in the 440 v range. When you make a mistake you bloody well know it. 😜🤪😂

    Brittle Fender

Sorry to hear your fender snapped. I do agree with Bee-P that those plastic welders work really well. I have one and have used it a lot. The kit comes with a couple small sheets of stainless screen/mesh that you melt into the plastic at the break and it adds a lot of strength at the break. Just...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

A while back I posted about some trouble I was having putting my FEL back on my 2380. Couldn't figure out why it was easy with my old 2380 and a head scratcher on this one. I took it off yesterday to mow and when I came back to where I park it I noticed that the drop-down stands left leg was off...

    Identify this part

Good luck with the repair. Make sure you find every last piece of that bearing or you'll be looking at a second tear down.

    Interesting Farmall Tractor

Dang, and I thought that I had seen most all the tractors out there. Every August there is a farm and tractor show called the Fly Wheelers festival and they have a parade of tractors and I've not seen that beast there yet. Very cool. Now if I had that rig, I would hang one of those egg-shaped...

    Tractor step

Looks like it has bumped a couple of times. Where I worked the 980 Cats lost their steps rather quickly so the company went to flexible cable steps. Other than losing some paint the issue of damage was gone.Don't know if this would help or not.

How do you clean your greasy loader pivots?

Exactly. Just enough to help keep the crud out, but not enough to attract more.😉

How do you clean your greasy loader pivots?

I do agree with not using a pressure washer to clean loader or any other major part of my tractor. I just grease till it "oozes" out and wipe the excess off with a paper towel. I like to keep mine as clean as possible to prevent a lot of sand and grit from working its way into a moving joint...

    Staying away from town!

Yep, I won't go anywhere near our town today. It is the annual Ausable Canoe marathon. This is actually a big deal, and is about the most grueling canoe race out there. Paddlers come from all over the US, Canada, and as far away as Australia. This is not a casual drift type of trip. Two paddlers...

Outstanding! I love it when someone brings back the beauty of a vehicle or anything that the finish has turned dull. Well done.

Best Way to Drain Mower Tank?

Interesting. Even though my BX is brand new right now, over time I may have similar things like you described start happening. I may look into getting Diesel Kleen +Cetane Boost. You put it in every time you fill the tank. Or would ya'll not recommend doing that. I always keep my tank full and...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Mowed down by the river where it had flooded last week. I got it mowed but it sure was wet and spongy. This was one of those cases where you don't stop for anything. Keep that BX moving. I think it will dry out now that the heavy rains have gone away.

A note for those who have lost a cat, or are worrying about when that moment comes.

We have had many cats over the years, and you are so right that when that dreaded time comes to make that awful decision the pain starts. Our cats are our children. You talk to them like you would another human and you just know what you are saying is understood. I consider myself to be a tough...
