    Pallet forks for BX

I'm looking to get a set of pallet forks for my BX2680. I'd like the SSQA frame mounted style, not bucket mount. I'm a little confused on the smaller units out there. The Class 2 forks with frame seem pretty straight forward with the 16" carriage height. It is lower capacity, subcompact tractor...

    Tiller

For comparison purposes, I picked up a used RTA1550 this spring for use with my BX2680. I tilled from sod to previously worked soil this year. No issues at all under any condition, didn't sense the engine under excessive load at any time. I think the BX2680 could drive a 5 footer, it would be a...

New (used) RTA1550 tiller - change chain case grease

I keep my expenses as low as possible, that's why I bought a used tiller for $1,300, instead of a new one at $2,500-$3,000 + sales tax.

New (used) RTA1550 tiller - change chain case grease

I just picked up a used Land Pride RTA1550 tiller for my BX2680. I added rear spacers last year which puts the rear track at about 4'. Figured I should get a unit with an offset. I also looked at the KK XB54" tiller at Runnings. That was going to be my back up option if I couldn't find a...

    Tiller for BX2680

I'm in the market for a rotary tiller for my BX2680. I've read a number of other threads and various reviews. I thought I would post a thread and get any up to date recommendations. I'm open to used, but prepared to buy new. For new, my local options are LandPride, Ironcraft, and KingKutter I...

    BX2680 Inner tie rod boots

Starting on my winter projects on my BX2680 - I need to replace the inner tie rod boots. One boot was cracked slightly when I bought the tractor used and now both are cracked open. Are the Botaproducts (bxtractorparts.com) still the go-to aftermarket boots? I did see that Kubota has a...

    Oil viscosity for BX

I agree with you there! I'm in the same spot - I guess when you have options you try to figure out which is the best to go with, when in this case, all of these oils are ok to use. Thanks for all of the feedback - quite a few 5W-40 users. I haven't looked for 5W-40 so I'm not sure what i can...

    Oil viscosity for BX

I know oil related threads can go off the rails, but I just wanted to get some feedback from BX or other model owners in the colder winter areas of the country. I'm in upstate NY and getting ready for my 2nd oil change on my BX2680. I bought it used late summer of 2022. I changed the oil after...

BX2680 or B2301 block heater install

Thanks for the reply whitetiger. What would you use on the block heater threads? I've got Loctite red and then plumbing materials - teflon tape, etc. Or should I pick up something else?

BX2680 or B2301 block heater install

I'm looking to install a block heater on my new to me BX2680 when I do a coolant change. Part no is 70000-73274. It is a screw in type rather than the freeze plug replacement on the smaller D902 BX2380 engine. I've got the install instructions from the dealer which are pretty generic, looks as...

    BX2680 hydrostatic pedal adjustment

Dusty, my JD GT does that, pretty aggressive. I watched the video that was linked last night and went out to look under the BX at the pedal linkage this morning. I did notice the spring was filled with grass clippings and will not come back to its unextended length. The previous owners mowed...

    BX2680 hydrostatic pedal adjustment

I've had my BX2680 for about a year now, I have been very satisfied with it. I wanted to ask the forum members if there is some adjustment I could make to reduce stopping distance once you release the hydro pedal in forward or reverse. I'm used to my JD GT where the reduction is more aggressive...

BX2680 mower deck vs. rear finish mower

Thanks for the perspective Missouri, I almost bought a B2320 instead of my BX - just couldn't come to agreement on a price. I think the B2320 had the same 1L engine that my BX2680 has.

BX2680 mower deck vs. rear finish mower

Thanks, good point on the MMM and resale, I hadn't thought much of about that. I know from experience with my Deere GTs that finding good condition used equipment/attachments is tough, especially mower decks. Having a MMM for the BX probably would help quite a bit on resale and open it up to...

BX2680 mower deck vs. rear finish mower

Thanks for the comments, MMM is probably my better choice to keep. Now, let's see what I can get for the Del Morino rear finish mower.

BX2680 mower deck vs. rear finish mower

I picked up a used BX2680 last year. 2019 model and was used by an older couple for their small property with some horses. It came with both a 60" mower deck and a Del Morino 60"/5' rear finish mower. I didn't get a chance to ask when they used each mower. At this point, I don't need either...

    Flail recommendations for BX2680

Thanks for all of the feedback, very helpful. I was able to get out this week to my closest Ironcraft dealer. I looked at the FL-135 for my BX2680. The units are actually Titan Implements branded. Sales rep stated they picked them up on a good deal when Ironcraft was trying to sell Titan...

    Flail recommendations for BX2680

I'm looking to purchase a flail mower for my new to me BX2680. Looked at rotary cutters, but the length, for both my trailer (14') and maneuverability, made me look hard at flail mowers. I like the more compact size of the flails and from what I read and from YT videos, are quieter. I'm mowing...

    Box blade recommendation for BX

Jeremy - thanks for the info and photos, do you run any rear spacers? Rear tires look to be sticking more than standard beyond the fenders, but it might be the photos. Your tire set up looks like where I'm heading - I have all turfs, the previous owner mostly used my BX for mowing. I'm going to...

    Box blade recommendation for BX

Thanks for the replies. I have seen some you-tube videos with BXs pulling 60" BBs, seems to do ok on flat ground in the videos. I'll probably stick with a 54" since I'll leave the BB on for ballast when doing FEL work and that will help getting into tight spots over a 60".
