    Rebuild Kits for Kubota B6100 - D650

Another option I've looked at is boring the current cylinder liners .5 mm and just getting over sized pistons and rings which seems like might be my only option. Also most cost efficient.

    B-6100e engine smoking

I sure did, it would move about a 3/16 inch either way then but wouldn't fully come out. I decided to just leave it and cover the holes good for when it goes to the machine shop.

    Rebuild Kits for Kubota B6100 - D650

Hello everyone, after I did a compression test, which was extremely low, I decided I needed a rebuild. I thought I had located a rebuild kit on Ebay and after a week, they said the parts are unavailable. Now there are some kits that are around $1000 on ebay but I'm not sure they are worth it...

Yes, everything is disconnected on the front and I would think it should just pull out. Didn't know if I was missing a snap ring.

Almost have the block completely torn down while I wait on the parts from evil bay. I've removed the hydraulic pump, and the injection pump. I'm having an issue where I can't get the fuel cam out of the block. Any tips for that? I have removed the snap ring on the pump side of the cam.

Hydraulics on 3 pt dump carry all - B6100

Thanks everyone, I realize that it's not really necessary and will take away from the carrying capacity. I appreciate all the info, unfortunately I have bigger fish to fry with an engine rebuild.

Hydraulics on 3 pt dump carry all - B6100

I guess I'm confused on what the block that is on my line already is. It has one port on it that is plugged. Do most people run a line from that to a spool then return in into the fill hole on the transmission? Sorry for the confusion, I'm not completely new to hydraulics but having a hard time...

Hydraulics on 3 pt dump carry all - B6100

Since my cover does not have the t handle valve, but does have the port, would it be possible to add a valve to the cover somehow?

Hydraulics on 3 pt dump carry all - B6100

Just thought it would be something neat to have and give me the ability to do a small dump trailer someday. Finding a cover that has the selectable handle seems to be next to impossible. To add two remotes to the back I take it I would need to add the spool valve and the diverter block that is...

Hydraulics on 3 pt dump carry all - B6100

Where does the return line go from the valve? I assume somewhere on the rear end.

Hydraulics on 3 pt dump carry all - B6100

No loader is on the tractor and not interested in adding a front hydro pump. It does have what I believe a block in the hydraulic line coming from the pump that could be tied into I assume.

Hydraulics on 3 pt dump carry all - B6100

I have a question about the hydraulics on a B6100. I am wanting to build a lightweight 3 point carry all but have a small single acting cylinder do the dumping. Tapping into the hydraulic port under the seat would be the easiest way to accomplish this. The question remains how to I use the...

    B-6100e engine smoking

Thank you, I looked on Fridayparts and unfortunately that kit is out of stock so the next best thing is ebay where they are a $100 more. It is diesel sitting in the cylinders, the green I was referring too was the few drops that were around the valves. I should of wrote that better. I talked...

    B-6100e engine smoking

After thinking about adjusting the valves, I realized that being loose the valves would be closed anyways. I thought at first it would be antifreeze but it was very green in the few drops that were from around the valves. So concluded that it was straight diesel. I would like to do a rebuild...

    B-6100e engine smoking

Ok, I know its been a while, but I received the compression tester and did a compression test. All the cylinders were about 250 psi dry and with a tiny bit of oil in them. When performing the test, I hooked it up to the glow plug and cranked on the engine. It did take almost a whole minute of...

Thanks for the reply, I will wait for the compression tester to arrive and post the number here. I also had a thought that the fan blowing might make a slight difference but probably no more than 10 degrees. In the meantime I'll see if I can't get the injectors tested while I wait for it arrive.

    B-6100e engine smoking

Ok just an update on the tractor. I started it and ran it today for a while and all the smoke out the exhaust cleared up, unless you revved it and black/little bit of grey smoke would come out which is correct I believe. When idling real low it will still have a steady stream of blow by out the...

    B-6100e engine smoking

Are these little diesels worth rebuilding? Does anyone have any good links to guides or rebuild kits? Looked on ebay and seems to be a pretty wide variety of prices for what looks like the same kits.

It does not have an hour meter on it, I guess a compression test would be the best thing to do next. It is hard to start all the time and does need the glow plugs every time starting even when warm.
