What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Of all the implements I've procured for my tractor, the pallet forks have helped in the greatest number of different tasks. I'm always amazed at all the tasks that have been made easy and fast, and honestly, fun. It's just so damn satisfying! Yesterday I built my first palletized wood storage...

Offsetting rear blade ... should I grease it?

Short and sweet ... I mean no surprise :) I have a bunch of paraffin, which someone else suggested.

Offsetting rear blade ... should I grease it?

For the people who cautioned against using grease ... what's the downside of using grease? It seems like an obvious question but I'd like to know what your actual reasoning is.

Offsetting rear blade ... should I grease it?

I don't have any extra weight on my tractor. I've only used the blade in one session so far. First, offset with some extension and angle ... to bring some gravel back onto the driveway. Then centered without angle. I didn't have any problems with crabbing. As it turns out, I have some...

Offsetting rear blade ... should I grease it?

Thanks guys for all your suggestions. Sounds like I really can't go wrong whatever I end up using.

Offsetting rear blade ... should I grease it?

Hope I didn't make it weird lol Actually, this "dry fluid film" ... what is this? I looked it up and found a product called "fluid film", but I assumed you were using the term generically

Offsetting rear blade ... should I grease it?

I pay attention to people who use all caps to emphasize. I hear you. Thanks

Offsetting rear blade ... should I grease it?

Cool thanks. And it will be easy to clean off if I decided it was just a bad idea. When I first tried sliding it, it bound up and I eventually tappy tapped with a sledge hammer. It would move around but not slide. As it turned out, shifting the blade back allowed it to move, but this was...

    Telescopic stabilizer kit opinions?

It might not be and here's why ... it's possible that you could build a platform to set the QH onto that holds the drag arms (or whatever they're called) and toplink while you hook them up to the tractor. I'm getting better at installing the 3PH onto the tractor, but I've been known to do that...

Offsetting rear blade ... should I grease it?

I just bought this 5' Rankin rear blade this weekend for my BX. The blade tilts and offsets. It took me a while to figure out how to get the blade to slide ... you have to hold it a certain way otherwise it binds up for reasons I don't fully understand. I started thinking about completely...

    Telescopic stabilizer kit opinions?

When I bought the 3PH for my BX23S, I took one look at the turnbuckles and said "hell no", and went straight to telescopic. I literally never used the turnbuckles. Eventually I also got some Pat Quick Hitches too. Remember that the BX's can't lift the implements as high as with bigger tractors...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I picked up a Rankin 22-60 rear blade. I had made my peace that I wasn't going to find a blade that had the offset and tilt, but when I got to the tractor store it turns out I was confused and they had the 22 series in a five foot blade. I got the price and said "write it up" . Very pleased...

    BX2680 - 400 hr service questions

Did you watch Messick's videos about the safety filters? https://www.messicks.com/school/secondary-or-safety-air-filters-on-kubota-eng The video mentions part #K7561-82360 for the safety filter appropriate for BX tractors. I have a BX23S and it worked fine. Messick's product page states...

Debating purchase of a used BX2830 snowblower

This is great advice. Since I posted my initial thread, I've done a complete 180 on my desire to have a snowblower. You may be familiar with this story ... I'm at the dealership and make a point of checking out the "discount garage" or whatever name they give to the collection of used equipment...

Debating purchase of a used BX2830 snowblower

Interesting about the quick hitch issues ... I haven't heard about that, although I haven't done any research on it either. The DIY gas-powered snowblower isn't something I had thought of, and am not really set up to build something like that. But interestingly, I did actually do something...

Well I appreciate your thoughtful reply anyway, even if it doesn't apply to my situation. It was kind of you to take the time to respond.

Debating purchase of a used BX2830 snowblower

This is a gravel driveway and gravel roads. Lots of places to throw snow in one pass with no risk of damage. I can and have moved snow with just my front end loader. It's not great but it works. I just like the idea of not having to rely on the HOA to plow the roads ... like if it doesn't...
