    Land Pride disc question

Bought a DH1572 recently and have an odd issue using it with my L4701. I don't have a quick hitch, and the three point lift arms/stabilizers just BARELY fit around the pins to connect up the disc. With the pins pulled out of the telescoping stabilizers to give them full range of movement, I...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I imagine foot placement is very important with that technique. And steel-toe boots.

What do you have for a stump grinder and would you buy it again?

Also have a WG24 and would buy again. Turning around to watch the grinder kinda sucks and makes my neck hurt after a few hours of using it, but like others have said for the price it's worth the trade-off. As mentioned above, the new pro version of the WG24 looks like it has some good...

Land Pride adjustments for my pasture

Agree with others on raising the height on the 3pt. I mow my pasture with the 3pt set a touch above 3, with the rear a little higher than the front. No issues with the 4701 and a 6' land pride rotary cutter. What ground speed are you running at? My pasture's pretty rough so I can't go too fast

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Permethrin is good for treating clothing, but I find it a pain to keep re-treating. We use picaradin spray which seems to be effective, and far easier to just spray socks/ankles and pant legs as you head out for the day.

Gotta take advantage of the "rain delay"

Sounds easy enough, just need to learn how to weld :) (I do in fact own a welder, though....should probably make time to learn how to use it. How hard can it be???)

Gotta take advantage of the "rain delay"

Probably similar to how the 'kickstand' for my landscape rake got bent up. Apparently forgot to 'retract' it after mounting the rake on the tractor one day. Never heard or felt anything, but when I went to swap it out for something else, I realized it was all bent up....surely been dragging on...

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while........

I've built dollies for all my implements and each time I think "I have scrap wood in the shop, totally building a dolly for this!" And then I go to buy the casters and am floored each time by how much they cost. Having everything on rolling dollies is totally worth it though

1,000 hour review of an L4701 from squatch253

Thanks for sharing. I didn't realize the backhoe frame connects all the way to the loader in front of the operator station. I like the extra protection that provides for the hydraulic filters!

    L4802 vs MX5400

@Sodbusterjr have you compared specs of your 4310 vs the two you're considering? Not sure if TractorData has the right info, but looks like the 4802 would be a very modest 'upgrade' -- slightly longer wheelbase, heavier, better lift. I'm very happy with my L4701 (and use it for very similar...

Whats the go to grapple now that EA is out of business?

Not sure if it helps, but I'm happy with my homestead pinnacle. Like said above, I suspect in general most folks are happy with their grapple (or other implements), but I've used mine a ton in 2.5 years and not had any issues.

    Summit Hydraulics

Update: Amending my post below to add that as per their response, Summit has stepped up and taken care of the issue as a result of posting here. I do appreciate them making things right, though wish I hadn’t needed to share my experience here to make that happen. --- A word of warning for...

    New Purchase

Quoting this post because this is a great summary. These types of posts come up a lot, and as Paul says most folks are just giving you other models to look at if you haven't to make sure you find the best fit for you. I have a 4701 and cross-shopped the grand Ls and the MX5400. The MX is a...

Tilt cylinder (of top and tilt) for L3560 HSTC LE

They may not..I didn't look up the range for the sidelink on the 3560. You'd obviously know the details on that more than I! :)

Brand new implement rust and bent

My EA pallet forks arrived with some rust and places where the powder coat was missing. I just shrugged it off -- as folks have said the paint is going to get beat up anyway with use. Maybe your comment was sarcastic?

Homestead 84" Land Plane - Pinacle

I should also add I have a Homestead landscape rake and grapple as well. Honestly they have all met/exceeded my expectations. I don't film EA videos with them so they're not horribly abused, but they're not just pretty lawn ornaments either! :)
