    battery disconnect

My grandfather liked putting fuel shut offs on machines besides just the factory ones. Had a high school kid try to steal some machinery and nothing would run long enough to get it on a trailer.… so I would add a fuel shut off and leave the battery alone.

    Gooseneck vs Bumper Pull

Gooseneck is the only way to go for any significant load. There is no “tail wagging the dog” which bumper pulls can easily move your truck around if loaded wrong.

Cheap way to add a blue tooth radio to a kubota cab tractor

depends on how big of a radio you put in, aka the additional supports are really only needed if it’s a cd player. Basic radio is so light there’s no worries on the m4 cab.

Cheap way to add a blue tooth radio to a kubota cab tractor

your very funny, and have to be a classic troll. If you had read the post it’s a 10 yr old tractor and it came without a radio. Some of us work for a living and don’t mind getting grease under our nails. So saving a few $$$ and learning something new is fun and worth while.

Cheap way to add a blue tooth radio to a kubota cab tractor

A lot of us can’t afford the $300 and something dollar factory radios that kubota supplies. Messicks has a kit for $90 plus shipping. But, shopping around on Amazon, I was able to get the radio for $36, the adapter wiring plug that goes into the stock harness for $23, a couple of crimp...

    Wheel weights

First two weights on kubotas usually use the same bolt that goes through the rim, unless you have a cast center. but the pressed plate setups bolt the first two right to the center hub. Then additional weights piggy back on from there.

Step #1 are the main loader cylinders pined into the bottom holes for the power setting? there are two holes one higher up for max Lift hight. Bottom hole for max lift capacity. Step #2 do you have the idle/throttle up to at-least 1200 rpm for max hydraulic pressure from the pump? Step #3 make...

Kubota cab gun mount or shovel holder

Where we farm, the tractor serves as a truck a good part of the time and unfortunately going back to the house because you need something is crazy, or going to get something or someone hurt. In my lifetime there have been four times I’ve had to deal with rabid animals (mostly fox and one coon)...

Kubota cab gun mount or shovel holder

After trying a few different ways and methods of trying to safely carry a rifle in one of our cabbed tractors, the Koplin Rhino Pro mounts are the way to go. Made from diecast aluminum and over molded rubber, these mounts are built like a tank and will outlast any of the cheap plastic ones...

Simple Kubota Loader mounting pin mod

Now the farm is in deep winter, I figured I would get around to posting some of the Kubota projects from this fall/winter. This fall while greasing my LA1153 loader on my M6040 kubota, I saw one of the rear main attaching pins that holds the loader onto the tractor had popped loose and was part...

Buddy seat for the m6040! Should work for the 7040, 7060 and other models with the similar cabs!

With young kids growing up to the point they want to go “ride tractor with daddy” I searched for a buddy seat for my M6040 but there is very little online about anyone doing such a mod. Most of what I could find looked a little more like a hack job mod and I could bring my self to put one on a...

Difference between m6040 and m7040? Injectors?

Looking at the specs on line the motor is the same between the m6040 and the m7040. The turbo that is pointed out on line as being the difference, only occurred in certain models. Not all m7040 machines have turbos. So if the turbo is not the difference. So what’s different? The injector pump Or...
