    B7100 bypass tube smoke?

That's easy enough, I won't stress about it then until I run it hard for a few hours.

    B7100 bypass tube smoke?

It's a 4x4 HST, luckily I took videos of the compression test, and after I went back to look at it, one cylinder has a compression reading of 340psi, and the other two cylinders are at 375psi. So I guess that's the problem cylinder. I have not seen any bubbles in the radiator neck. I'll test...

    B7100 bypass tube smoke?

My recently acquired B7100 (mid 90s, 600 hours) has some steady white smoke coming from the valve cover vent tube and also the exhaust. I've done a compression test and all three cylinders are around 375 psi, so I don't think it's a compression issue, but not sure what else it could be? I've...

B7100 - white smoke from exhaust at high RPM with occasional puffs

Just a (hopefully final) update: So the B7100 has timing marks on the flywheel that marks every 5 degrees from TDC starting at 25 degrees and according to the WSM injection should start somewhere between 25 and 20 degrees before TDC. These marks only correspond to the most forward injector. The...

B7100 - white smoke from exhaust at high RPM with occasional puffs

I did a compression check and all three cylinders were at 350-375 psi. So it doesn't seem to be a compression problem. I thought I knew how to check injector pump timing, but I guess I don't quite understand it. The 70mm stroke WSM says to look for the "FI" mark on the flywheel when the fuel...

B7100 - white smoke from exhaust at high RPM with occasional puffs

When I googled fuel dilution I got results referring to fuel diluting the oil, but the diesel shop told me to replace the fuel and clean out the lines so I suppose they were referring to something like gasoline in the diesel. I cleaned out the lines and tank as best I could, not sure if there is...

B7100 - white smoke from exhaust at high RPM with occasional puffs

How long would it take to notice coolant loss? I've maybe only run it less than 5 hours since I picked it up, the coolant level in the radiator is right up to the neck of the cap, not how big of a leak and how long it would take to notice the level drop.

B7100 - white smoke from exhaust at high RPM with occasional puffs

Thanks for the response. Can I adjust timing of a single injector? I checked the timing of the injector pump before having it rebuilt and one of the three was definitely correct and consistent but as far as I could tell the other two (including the oddball injector) were way off and pushed...

B7100 - white smoke from exhaust at high RPM with occasional puffs

Thanks for the advice. I'll do a compression test but I'll keep in mind that it won't rule out other problems like the head gasket. Is there a way to test for water in the exhaust? One of the three injectors was clearly an aftermarket replacement and not an original, could be a poor knockoff...

B7100 - white smoke from exhaust at high RPM with occasional puffs

Hi everyone, Just picked up a mid-90s B7100 HST, 600 hours on the clock. I'm having a problem with white smoke from the exhaust and I'm stumped. At first it was hard to start and had really heavy white smoke. I had the injectors and injector pump rebuilt at the diesel shop. The technician...
