    trailer hitch

If and when you need to use the extended position there will be a weakened spot at the newly drilled holes. If you do run the ball mount in the short position, check for interference with the bumper when trailer is jack-knifed near the maximum.

I don't understand the hate with the "treadle" pedal.

There is no grease fitting for the pedal on a B2601. I drilled a small hole in the tube and use a needle point nozzle to pump grease in. I have a hose clamp to cover the hole when greasing is complete.

I don't understand the hate with the "treadle" pedal.

    Bh77 on b3200 subframe broke

I see it now, I just didn't take enough time before. Any play in those bolts will render them useless. My thought would be to fit bolts with a smooth shoulder so that they would have a bit of a press fit, reaming and using what you can find. Preloading the sub-frame by lifting the tractor by...

    The cost of getting old

I have numerous small jobs that I have been trying to hand over to contractors. No takers, my thought is that there has been way too much free money handed out.

    Valve stems

Perhaps you could drill a hole on the outside and add an additional valve stem. Usually the valve stems have some protection so welding a section of pipe around the added stem might be a good idea.

How do I NOT Break This??

In posts #1 & #3 it sounds like low temperature is part of the problem, perhaps a hair dryer can safely warm it till it turns easier.

Is there anyway to stop a leather belt from slipping on an old South Bend lathe

I remember using belt dressing similar to what is posted above. Other than that, a new belt may be in order, search for them online and you will find numerous options. Sanding the pulleys to a dull finish will help as well.

    Looking for some "machine advice"

A VFD is a good option, my son has a small shop with a mill, lathe and grinder and uses those. Since that sort of thing is his line of work so it was easy for him. Since Run with Scissors has time to weigh the options he would do well to research VFD's along with static, rotary and homemade...

    Looking for some "machine advice"

Usually the higher horsepower machines are 3 phase but any can be. I run my home and shop on a 200 amp service without issue. Even a 100 amp can work if you watch what the loads are. When selecting a phase converter know that many static converters provide little power on the manufactured...
