I drive the front zero turn wheels into the bucket. Carefully lift, and curl the bucket back a bit to keep the wheels in a pocket. Then use jack stands under bucket and set brakes on both machines.

Thanks everyone for your help. I will try to determine the size of the unit today and post back. 20 yr old unit ran fine on the wiring. It developed a leak as par for the course. I’m wondering now if a larger unit was installed and the wiring is insufficient as Pooh has informed me.

Pretty sure mine is 14/2. Romex (X2). Copper. I do have 2 capable portable generators……only problem is the issue is so intermittent. Might go a week without hearing the problem…..then will hear it act up two or three times in one day!

From your picture, it appears the old starter pinion was not engaging the ring gear teeth deep enough, as in tooth contact? Seems the starter needs to be moved inward closer to the ring gear. Good luck. This can be a tricky task. I did a search, and found some YouTube’s, but didn’t watch.
