I just picked up a 4060le hstc rops with 805 loader and r4 tires for 32k so I'd 35 for one with 72hrs is a great deal. I'd jump all over it!

For comparison sake, I had a buddy price a new 3901 with fel,5'disk, 6'bush hog, tiller and a trailer and it came in at about 32k before tax. That is the la525 loader which says it will lift 1155 lbs at the pivot pins at full height. 2000lbs is a stretch for sure. Might have to find some used...

The 2501 33 and 39 all have the same la525 loader. The math is multiply 2.2 by the loader model and that gives you the lift capacity at the pins I believe. Do they move up and down freely when the tractor is running?

It's not clear in which direction they aren't moving. If they do not lower fast then the knob under your seat if adjust the rate at which they drop. They should move free side to side unless the turnbuckles have been tightened down.

Hey dochsml, definitely a rops no question. The maneuverability is something I hadn't really thought about but is a definite factor. I was getting hung up on lift capacity for sure. Thanks for the advice.

That is actually somewhat hard to believe but an excellent reference. I clear about 1/2 an acre every winter to cleanup during the spring and I get some logs my 525 won't lift. I can sure scoot them anywhere I need to go though!

The 2501 has done everything I've ever asked of it and more. It is honestly an excellent machine. I had not considered the mx series but I will check into it for sure.
