    Pond dredging Project

If I end up doing something I will let you know. Not sure if/when I will do it. Last thing I want to do is kill off my fish population.

    Pond dredging Project

I get what you’re saying, but I also don’t fall in the “You machine is too small” camp all the time. There are times when it is, but not nearly as often as some people say. I have been told a ton “You can’t do it, rent a big X”……and then I go ahead and do it. I may not try it though, because...

    Pond dredging Project

Yep, heard you the first time. Don't know if it can be done done with my machine, if it could be done I dont know how well it would work. First step to figuring it out is to look at the possibilities. Second step would be to say if the possibilities are realistic or would work. I am on step...

    Fuel transport idea

Interesting idea. I currently have 3-4 5 gallon diesel cans that I strap down to my hitch mounted cargo carrier. A larger container on a trailer with some kind of pump would be easier. The gas station I go to is less than 5 miles away using back roads.

    Pond dredging Project

Thanks for the feed back. Just kinda brain storming and was wondering if anyone here had a setup that worked well.

    Pond dredging Project

I was thinking maybe something like this with a longer rope that I could pull across the pond. Another option vs a long arm tool on the FEL or 3pt

Proper ballast load for b2320 with LA304 loader?

I use my box blade as ballast when doing FEL work. It has worked well so far. If I need more weight I add bags of salt of wood pellets on top. Haven't had an issue moving topsoil, compost or gravel

    Pond dredging Project

Something along these lines is what I was thinking about. I don't have all the vegetation to remove though.

    Pond dredging Project

This is something I have been thinking about also. I don't know if something was used to seal the pond. Where I am at we are all hard clay, so I dont think it would have to be sealed. The neighbor said a previous owner years ago just dug it out with a tractor and then let it fill up. Our...

    Pond dredging Project

Well, I have lost a couple of swim shoes in the muck. I don't know what all is in the pod, and judging by other things I have found around the property it could be a bunch of junk.

    Pond dredging Project

Thanks for the input. I may try some things if I can fab something up for not too much $$. If it turns in to a high dollar project I might just learn to live with it. I have been eyeing a 3pt landscape rake......this might be me trying to find a way to justify the purchase......😆

    Pond dredging Project

Thanks..... Well that's not what I was hoping for. I have been adding the enzyme stuff to the pond as well. The ones that are supposed to break down the organic waste.....Maybe I just need to be patient with it.

    Pond dredging Project

Thanks for the info. Draining it really isnt something I want to do since it is stocked with catfish, bass and bluegill. As far as weeds, I don't have a big issue with that. I keep the edge pretty clean and added some grass carp a couple of years ago. My biggest concern is the muck on the...

    Pond dredging Project

Hi all, I have a 1/2 acre pond on my property that I have been working on (previous owners neglected it along with everything else). I am at the point where I would like to try and pull out all the muck on the bottom (along with what ever else is there) from the first 10-20 along the bank. I...

    BX24 overflow tank boiling 🔥

I used my extendable air wand to blow out the radiator and cleaned the screen. Mowed once since then and the tractor stayed at normal operating temperature. The outside temperature was lower than it had been before, so I won’t know for sure until the summer temperatures set in.

    Trailer or drive it.

Since you have the trailer available I would trailer it because it is the safest. Why take the risk?
