That is similar to what happened on my KX41 when the fuel pump was worn out. Mine is mechanical though and I had to have it rebuilt. Another symptom was it wouldn't cut off with the key. I had to reach back and pull the lever on the fuel pump.

Pressing the pedal does not increase travel speed. Unplugged pedal and tested switch. It works. I ohm test the wires going to the change valve and they are shorted with 17 Ohms. I check my connector plug and it is intact. I unplug it and test the wires from the pedal, no short. I test the wires...
