L4701 Fuel System Issue - Won't Start - Lift Pump Problem?

Hi - Just realized I never closed the circle here. My problem was that the water element (ie the metal filter in the jar) was clogged with algae. The jar was slow to fill and when it did, I would get full power, but as soon as all of that fuel was gone I would lose power again until the jar...

L4701 Fuel System Issue - Won't Start - Lift Pump Problem?

Thanks for the advice. I did follow the WSM for instructions for changing the fuel filter and bleeding the system. They seemed a little simplistic, but it says what it says. I was already planning to try and empty and clean out the fuel tank and see if there is some kind of blockage there that...

L4701 Fuel System Issue - Won't Start - Lift Pump Problem?

Have been having problems with my L4701 stalling this week after filling up the fuel tank. It would lose power and it would stall out, then after sitting 2-3 minutes it would start and run for 3-4 minutes and then die again. I went to the dealer this morning to get an air filter and a fuel...

    L4701 Dead as a Doornail

Sorry, forgot to mention that. Yes, PTO is off. One of the first things I checked. But even then, it will normally click and light up if you try to start it with the PTO, which isn’t what is happening here.

    L4701 Dead as a Doornail

I was using my tractor - 2018 L4701 HST - to mow last weekend. I turned it off at lunchtime and when I came back it would not start and is completely unresponsive when the key is turned. No lights, no clicks, no nothing. I checked the battery and it reads 12.6. Looked at both fuses and they...

    Anybody know about woodmaxx

How long did it take some of you owners to receive your items? I ordered a chipper in September and was told it was on backorder. Followed up in November and they said assembly would start in December at the latest. It's now January and I've heard nothing. Is this normal or am I an outlier? I...

Broken Steering Arm Thing - What's this called?

Tried and tried this morning to get the jam nut loose but it wouldn***8217;t budge. Then I thought I had it and instead the end piece started screwing off instead. I guess that***8217;s what I ultimately wanted, but now the jam nut is still stuck on there. Do I need to keep trying to get it...

Broken Steering Arm Thing - What's this called?

AHHH! I see it now. Will try that tomorrow afternoon after church when I go back to the farm. I hear what you're saying about letting the dealer fix it, but it doesn't seem too complicated a repair and I'd rather not deal with the hassle of getting it back to him and being down for multiple...

Broken Steering Arm Thing - What's this called?

Thank you for the replies. Seems like it's something I can fix myself if I can get the broken end off. I can't find a picture of the part, so I'm still confused about the removal. Two more questions (for now): 1) Is there just a single nut or does the entire end piece turn around the threads...

Broken Steering Arm Thing - What's this called?

Was driving around at the farm today and went through some soft mud and my right wheel started sliding around and losing traction. Looked down and I realized that it had come loose from the steering arms. I was able to put the round knuckle - not sure what it's really called - back into the hole...

Brand New L-4701 - Leaking hydraulic fluid

I took the video to the dealership yesterday and showed it to the maintenance supervisor and the general manager. They both said they could tell from the video that it's leaking from between the joints of the added hydraulic cylinders just as before. Since they already replaced the o-rings...

Brand New L-4701 - Leaking hydraulic fluid

Yeah, never mind. This is even worse than before. 3 hours of mowing and here we go again. 7 hours on the engine is all. YBvTAMZl0Ao I think I***8217;m just going to ask for an entirely new unit w/o the added hydraulics.

Brand New L-4701 - Leaking hydraulic fluid

Finally got her back yesterday. The fluid was leaking from between some o-rings on the added hydraulic cylinders, so the dealer replaced those o-rings and that solved the problem. It's still unclear to me whether the problem was with the part itself or with the original dealer installation...

Brand New L-4701 - Leaking hydraulic fluid

So I went ahead and called the dealer and they had someone out to pick it up within a couple of hours. The manager was very apologetic and responsive. I'll let you guys know what the final verdict is. Thank you for the responses.

Brand New L-4701 - Leaking hydraulic fluid

Yes, I added two rear remotes when I ordered it as I had heard it's a lot easier and cheaper to do it up front than to add them later. I am back at home in town but when I get out to the farm later today I will try and tighten that bolt and see if that might be the issue. I didn't want to...

Brand New L-4701 - Leaking hydraulic fluid

Hello All - Longtime lurker with a new tractor and need some guidance. I have a brand new L-4701 with less than 5 hours on it. Today is Sunday; it was delivered on Friday. Both times I used it this weekend to brush hog, after about an hour I noticed hydraulic fluid leaking out from under...
