If you have any seams along the bed that could take a bead of silicone sealant, that’s time well-spent. This is what I use:

    l2501 Box Blade Poll

With no material in the box, the 5’ box blade I had came in at 345# whereas the 6’ version weighs 510# empty—FWIW

    l2501 Box Blade Poll

For me it comes down to covering my (spaced) R4 tracks and making sure I can at least have the option to head downhill, if needed—and there are plenty of hills, rocks, and clay to contend with here.

I started with a 5’ but later decided to move to a 6’ once I got my rear spacers on.

    Drain port on backhoe

Here’s the relevant page from the BH77 WSM, if it helps. I would think whatever fluid is sitting in your cylinders right now far and away exceeds whatever you might get from messing with that valve stack.

    What is this all about?

Never meant to imply any negligence whatsoever. Just quickly reminded me of a time in my life I’d like forget 😉😁. And I forgot to mention my escort had been there 38 years.

What years were the L3800 built and engines used.

Maybe someone told the previous owner might as well go ahead and put wheel spacers on the front, too. 🫣

    JoeS insight?

Guilty as charged, with being a 95% chucklehead. That said, I try to refrain from posting about topics I haven’t personally encountered. If there is a topic about a tractor hardware issue, I try only to comment on those issues I’ve experienced with my model. I see too many of the...

Deer fencing options for the garden?

Here’s another plot where I had done the same fence thing, but had buckwheat in ahead of the clover and you can see what they did in one month’s time to the buckwheat once the polywire came down. The clover survived mostly because they likely kept getting stuck in the eye with leftover...

Deer fencing options for the garden?

I put up a three strand poly wire on T-posts, between 6-7’ high in spots) and to take advantage of their lack of depth perception, strung another poly wire about 12” high on the outside on fiberglass pins. For the first time, I was able to keep the deer herd (well over 50/square mile) out long...

Computer Experts - - yet again.....

Then there’s likely an issue with the port, I would speculate. With the laptop unplugged and the battery out, maybe see if a can of air duster (or some such dry keyboard cleaner) can dislodge a dust bunny back in there. I doubt I myself would put any thing else ($ or time) into it, given the...

    LA525 joystick linkage busted

Hey Dan, I had its cousin in my BH77 do something similar and was lucky in my case to get it out. If they’re gonna use excessive quantities of Loctite on the threads (was my case), sure wish they wouldn’t use chinesium in and around the Loctite. I saw both the red and the blue used in there on...
