I'm curious - will a L5030HST have the sleeve? If so, can it be "lost" the shaft is slid forward (don't ask...)? ;)

I'm all ears on how this can be fixed on your own as I think I just ran into it on my L5030! :)

Is this the seal from the shaft that protrudes from the mid-case and couples to the shaft running under the oil pan?
