Kubix- Did you find the problem? I'm having the same issues on a F3680.

The gov spring is there and appears to be fine. Could it be in the injection pump?

That is a possibility. Although the oil has been changed every 100 hrs. If it is gummed up, is there an easy access to it or would it have to be removed to clean?

When you take it back to neutral the rpm's increase, then when you bring the throttle back it takes it a bit for the rpm's to settle back down. Thanks for the service manual link :)

I have a F3680 that when you are traveling and let up on the speed control pedal to stop the engine revs up higher and is slow to idle back. The mower has 1900 hrs. I have replaced the injectors, fuel filters, and adjusted the valves. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
