Added a couple teeth to my grapple

At what temperature do you plug in your block heater?

Never used one. 2017 BX starts every time. If it's real cold I will cycle the glow plugs a couple times. battery tender on the battery.... thats it. Never plugged in my powerstroke diesel either. I think block heaters are generally unnecessary. (Unless you live in Alaska or Siberia) If...

    Sunfire Heaters Anyone?

These Sunfire style radiant heaters are very similar to a Beckett or Carlin oil burner. It has a set of electrodes/nozzle and probably a cad cell. so it will require tune up /adjustment / nozzle and fuel filter replacements... which is all pretty easy to do.

    Sunfire Heaters Anyone?

Funny you mention that. My garage does have forced hot air heat. It works better on the second floor .... works ok in the downstairs garage .. until it gets REAL cold outside. Then you basically need to keep it on full time.... and even then it's not a radiant heat... Last winter I used a...

Added a couple teeth to my grapple

looks good. plasma makes things so much easier. not sure if Id use expanded metal.... seems like it would just be a place for sticks and crap to get stuck to. I mostly use my grapple for moving logs. It's actually only a grapple "thumb" works good though.

Putting the cart before the horse…..Three Phase power question???????

I'm sure your right. So, what is the advantage of a 3ph machine? Other than they are cheaper because very few folks can power them.... (correctly) I mean, for a hobbiest guy wouldn't it be more practical to buy a single phase machine OR swap out the motor for a single phase lump? That has...

    Smart guys, SOLAR

Of Course I bought the system outright. #1 Any lease deal from ANY solar company is a rip off. #2 The only way you get the 30% off your federal is if you own the system..... otherwise the solar company gets it. another part of the rip off. Like I said above, I didn't do it specifically from...

    Smart guys, SOLAR

Thats another funny one.... I've talked to people who say they "did the math" and they won't break even or pay off a solar system... Yet they just shelled out $80k for a brand new pickup truck or SUV that depreciates as soon as you drive off the lot... :ROFLMAO: personally I enjoy seeing...

    What are they called

On a side note.... they look like cast. It says "steel" ..... so they are most likely Cast Steel..... as opposed to cast Iron which is more brittle... although, cast Iron will last longer / better wear resistance
