    Rebuild time

Now that you mention it, I won’t see them until January. Still time for some Orange!

    Rebuild time

Dug out the boys old wagon and rebuilt it over the last few months. Finished it up today. Left some of the stains and battle scars in the base but other than that, all metal was blasted and repainted, wood was sanded bare and recoated red. Base and sides were sanded to smooth them out and...

Pros and cons of snow removal options

Where I live my most popular option is solar. See how much is on the ground with coffee at 5:30AM and if the sun doesn’t melt it by noon, check the following morning with coffee. We haven’t had measurable snow in 4 years and not looking like it again this year. All joking aside, the rear...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Went after some standing dead ash that got blown over in the storms last week. 3 hrs of fun once it was all done

Adding a parking brake warning light to the L2501

Warning light is great but can I get a mechanism that smacks me in the shin every time I leave the brake engaged and go to drive?

    What's cookin' boys?

Thanks. First attempt. Quite good. We used the drippings in the pan to make the gravy. Subtle smoke to it

Do you know how to do the "Hurdy Gurdy"?

Always entertaining posts. I remember the old DIY Hardware. Smelled of paint, oil and cigars. Now my local Ace is 10x the size with 60% less hardware and sadly I often know more than their staff. I want to buy local but when they either don’t have it or it is 20x the cost of buying online...

    First Tractor Advice

How mature are your woods? Lots of scrub and thickets where visibility is an issue or open old growth? I take my B3200 with wheel spacers in after firewood all the time. Width of the tractor is not an issue. Just take it slow and think about how far that FEL sticks out and where your rear...

What do you guys think of this old steam tractor?

Miami Valley Steam Threshers do a show every July in Plain City OH at Pastime Park. Always 10-12 steamers there. No shovels but they do run a sawmill and a bunch of other belt driven machinery. Each year is a different manufacturer. Last year was IH. Definitely a great day walking around and...

Cold weather OPEN station snow plowing/blowing.

Driving sleet and freezing rain with temps around 28. Had to go back and put on my rain suit. Tractor deck is icy, cold wet hands, cold wet face. I’d much rather do snow work in the single digits. Dry is good. If it is too cold I put on ski goggles. I’m also to the point if it is still...

    Weather Stations

For the price and features I like my Ambient Weather WS2902A I bought a few years back after our lightening strike forced a technology upgrade. I had gotten a Davis Weather station as a gift which was toasted. Really nice unit but everything was an option that cost more. This one interfaces to...

What's up with some new members?

As Mike Tyson said, the internet today has given people the ability to say whatever they want without the fear of getting punched in the face (or something like that)

    What's cookin' boys?

Pretty good. The mushroom adsorbs the smoke well. I used Hickory this time. Will try apple or pecan when I make them for a party on Sunday. They were on for 25 minutes at 325F.
