    Non-functioning hydraulics

Eiiigh!!! 🤦‍♂️ I already determined that the outlet hose from the hydraulic block from the pump had a "good stream". I also installed the gauge at the end of this hose. It's in one of my photos, where I removed the hose from the inlet to the FEL valve. That test maxed out the pressure...

    Non-functioning hydraulics

I said, "I held the outlet hose into a bucket, and started the tractor. It made a pretty strong stream". ...and it also maxed out the pressure gauge briefly. The flow out the FEL valve PB hose was less than that, and it stops when I move the control stick down. ...except the loader does not...

    Non-functioning hydraulics

Ok, I finally got enough fluid filtered through a cloth to fill the level to the sight glass. I routed a hose from the loader valve PB to a container, and started the tractor. There was a little bit of flow. Then when I moved the loader valve control stick down to raise the loader, the flow...

    Non-functioning hydraulics

Dan, as I'm following you all's advice, I'm getting you want me to get pressure readings from the FEL valve PB and remote valve PB. I'll get those pressures later this morning. Thanks for the explanation about how the reverse flow can be happening. Yes, it's only with the "control...

    Non-functioning hydraulics

This particular HUSCO 9210 Loader control valve (LB552) does not have a pressure relief valve. It has a plug in the port where a PRV would be for a different model of loader. Dan, you're correct. With the "control screw" horizontal there seems to be back flow through the FEL valve. Pressure...

    Non-functioning hydraulics

I used my air compressor with a rubber tip to put about 35 psi on the outlet hose from the hydraulic block. If it was somehow flowing in reverse before, I wanted to try to switch that. I also hooked up one of my old hoses to the FEL valve inlet port to try to better capture any oil that would...

    Non-functioning hydraulics

I'm not seeing what you believe is incorrect. It seems that you've stated what I have in just a different manner than what I did. If I followed your hose connections perfectly, there wouldn't be a hose swap. Please be more specific as to where my mistake is. I believe that you are correct...

    Non-functioning hydraulics

My fitting arrived today, and I affixed it to the end of the hose from the outlet of the hydraulic block (inlet of the loader valve). When I started the tractor there was no pressure, but a lot of fluid came out of the inlet port of the loader valve. I realized I need to place the hydraulic...

    Non-functioning hydraulics

Discount Hydraulic Hose, that has been my go to hydraulic website, and their Thread ID Guide is helpful. For a few fittings, I don't mind ordering from them, but for just one fitting a guy can't beat free shipping. In this case, the quick delivery would have out weighed the cost. ...hind sight...

    Non-functioning hydraulics

1 to 3 day shipping on the gauge isn't the issue. It's the fitting to adapt the end of the hose to the gauge. I know, there's "kits" out there with quick disconnect couplers. I wanted to test without the FEL control valve. I found a 1/2" male JIC to 1/4" female NPT on Amazon, but its ETA was...

    Non-functioning hydraulics

Ok, I didn't buy a pump yet. I closed the spool at the hydraulic block to focus on getting pressure at the 3PH. I manually raised it, and it could hold some weight with the valve closed or open with the lever raised. It was taking 1800 RPM for it to raise slowly. Now what do you all think?

    Non-functioning hydraulics

I had already removed the PB hoses, but I did it again anyway. There was flow from both the FEL and remote control valves. After just a few seconds it amounted to about 1 quart. It was not a lot of flow, and not any substantial pressure. So, I removed the relief valve, and added (3) #10...

    Non-functioning hydraulics

Today my 2nd new filter arrived, so I removed the 1st new filter and installed the 2nd. The oil that drained had some air bubbles and foam, not a lot but a little bit. I refilled about 2 quarts of the Shell Spirax S4 TXM hydraulic oil that I've been using. It's what was in it since 4 years...

    Non-functioning hydraulics

Hello Russell and Wolfman, Yes, it's been mid-60s for a few days here, but it does freeze at night. I removed the PB hose to the inlet port on the hydraulic block, and there was flow with the tractor on. It wasn't a stream though. I caught about a quart in a few seconds. It wasn't milky...

    Non-functioning hydraulics

I thought that might be a possibility, so I checked the Prince MB single spool port descriptions. I have the PB from the FEL control valve into the inlet of the remote valve. The outlet is on the opposite side of the valve, and that is routed to a tee to the tank port on the hydraulic block...

    Non-functioning hydraulics

Thank you for your response Russell! I have both the tractor and loader manuals. I followed the loader manual extensively when I added the remote control valve. Today I rotated the "control screw" horizontal and back to vertical while the tractor was on with no change. Tomorrow I'm going to...

    Non-functioning hydraulics

I have a Kubota L4300DT with an LB552 FEL controlled by a HUSCO 9210 control valve. A few years ago, I installed remote hydraulic lines and a controller. Last year, I had fluid leaks at the quick disconnects and I needed to replace the lift spool float detent mechanism. I also had a...

    Rear wheel weld on lug

My tractor is a Kubota L4300 it came with ag tires, and now I want to switch to industrial tires. I already have 8.25x16.5 wheels on their way for the front. I'm planning on buying a pair of 15x24 blanks for the rear, but I need this weld on lug. I've only seen on similar described as a JD...

    Adding a Hydraulic Control Valve

Just to follow up for someone's information in the future. The fittings on my particular hydraulic block were 3/8" NPTF to 1/2" JIC 37d. All the JIC fittings throughout my FEL controller were 1/2". Even though the hoses may be 3/8" stay away from using 3/8" fittings in the PB circuit because...
