    How to dig a trench

Thanks everyone. I like the idea of simply using the bucket to push the tractor ahead, plus the idea of temporarily disabling the safety switch. Once it gets warmer I'll try them both to see which I like better. Chris

    How to dig a trench

How does one dig a water line trench? Dig 6 feet or so with the seat facing backwards, get up, reposition the seat to forward facing, move the tractor 6 feet, get up, repositon the seat to the back again.....etc, etc. That doesn't seem reasonable. What am I missing? Thanks, Chris

    bx25 stuck in the mud

Yep...at the time I had the rpm up at 3000. In the past I wondered if there was a problem with my pump since it didn't seem to do the work it should have at whatever rpm.

    bx25 stuck in the mud

The one thing I didn't try was moving to the side. One side is against a cross fence, the front is against the load I was attempting to push and so I do have one side to attempt to snooze it over to. Tomorrow should be close to freezing in the morning...makes the ground hard for you Florida...

    bx25 stuck in the mud

I tried it all I thought ....but thanks for the info that the first item takes all the pressure. I'll keep that in mind when I attempt the rescue tomorrow.

    bx25 stuck in the mud

Hello fellow Americans. My tractor is stuck up to the errr...everything underneath. Strangely the bucket won't lift the front end and the backhoe won't pull it out. I tried all three at once...holding down the reverse pedal, pushing back with the bucket and pulling with the hoe bucket. I...

It started out as a joke

You canajuns EH want so much to be Americans you can't help but involve yourselves in OUR politics. Try to fix your own country's outrageous taxation, stupidly high prices and disgusting lack of consumer goods.

    Hydraulic leakdown

Thanks for the replies. I'm amazed that hydraulics act like this....used I can understand, but new I thought wouldn't leakdown. Glad I checked with you knowledgable people before I took it for a "repair." I do now put blocks under it .... but that first time I took it off and it fell over I...

    Hydraulic leakdown

I've had my BX25 for just over one year now. Ever since brand new the downriggers have slowly lost pressure. In fact the first time I took off the backhoe I used the downriggers to hold it up .... the next day I found it had fallen over. Now one of the downriggers will slowly (over 24 hours)...

    BX25D Oil

I wasn't being sarcastic or dismissing your reply. I appreciate it when people take the time to reply...and I appreciated your reply. Is it possible you're just too defensive and read agendas when there isn't one?

    BX25D Oil

I've spent lotsa time on the phone with my local dealer and then a regional office, who put me onto someone else....you know how it goes with large corporations. I finally spoke to someone who apparently knew. He said they had a conference about what the manual said and what it should have...

    BX25D Oil

Good point. It is still under warranty and would be worth the 40 mile drive and the extra money. Thanks for the URL. Your quoted page shows I must use CJ-4....and my manual says, and I quote..... * The CJ-4 engine oil is intended for DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) type engines, and cannot...

    BX25D Oil

I'm about to change the oil and filter for the 50 hour maintenance on my 2013 BX25D. The manual says specifically NOT to use CJ-4 oil. Napa only has the modern CJ-4 and older formulations. I phoned the Kubota dealer where I bought the tractor and they said the Kubota oil they would sell me...

    Adjustments on a box scraper

Thanks. The spray sounds promising. (And easy.) I got more practice today on the latest load of gravel. At times I used the bucket while in reverse....seemed to spread it better. Perhaps I just don't have the hang of the box scraper yet. But I have many more loads to come...we'll see how...

    Adjustments on a box scraper

Quick link seems to be the way to go. Except I've already cut a piece of 3/4" plywood and plan on putting some casters under it, then dropping the box scaper on it. I can then simply move the Box Scraper around where I need it when attaching it to the 3 point. Seems easier than having to...

    Adjustments on a box scraper

Thanks all. Perfect explanations and also I watched the video. The grassy field IS difficult to smooth out or remove dirt/grass. I found I had to make many passes to make much of a dent. A dozer would be better I would think. Today I had some gravel delivered and was able to practice...
