FYI, Got it apart and replaced the fan. The spline does move allowing the drive line to compress to get in and out.

Here are some pics. I have the drive-line loose from the Engine. But there is not enough room to slide it off the Hydro-static out put shaft. I need it to slide off this output to slide the fan on and bolt to the flange. Is this spline supposed to slide in and out? It did not move freely...

Thank you for the replies. If I can slide it off the Hydra-static shaft the new fan will slip right over that end. I will get some pics this morning. The U-joints will not let it angle enough to get out of the way of the engine connection to slide it back.
