    B7100 PTO Chipper question

Thanks gentlemen. I will move forward knowing that my tractor is a B7100. Lencho, thanks for the tip on that PTO. I will keep my eyes out for one f those. That is exactly what I want to do. Most of the branches that I want to chop are the 1-2" variety. Thanks again. Sorry for me being...

    B7100 PTO Chipper question

This page from the Kubota website states otherwise. https://www.kubotausa.com/gray-market-tractors B7001 is clearly listed on this sheet. Aside from each of us stating one thing or another, where can I find a source that says a B7001 serialized unit is indeed a B7100? Thanks

    B7100 PTO Chipper question

Not sure what to tell you D2. Here is a pic of my serial number. A B7001 is a grey market tractor from everything that I’ve read and been told. I’m not here to argue with anyone. Y’alls are the experts. I’m just trying to use my great little tractor to it’s full potential. I’ve taken my...

    B7100 PTO Chipper question

Thanks for all of the responses. My tractor says B7100 on the hood but if I remember right it is a B7000 or a B7001. That is why I said it was a gray market tractor. I was under the assumption that they are pretty much identical (but as usual I'm probably wrong). Mine is a 4wd unit. So...

    B7100 PTO Chipper question

I reread my post and I don't see where I said I wanted to damage my tractor. I'm just looking for input from people who have more experiance than I do. I have never used my PTO. I'm rather a novice at owning a tractor. But thanks for your concern.

    B7100 PTO Chipper question

Hey guys, I have a B7100 gray market tractor. Non hydrostatic. I have a chance to buy a BXS42 PTO chipper. The requirement on the chipper is 18+ HP. I found on the web that my B7100 only has 13hp. Aside from the obvious that X does not = Y, have any of you used a chipper rated for more HP...

    B7100 front spindle knock???

Sorry Hokie but I've already taken the tractor off of the jack stands and put it away in the shed. I'll try if I have time this week. The gist is that the inspection hole Is about a 4" x 4" opening and the hole for the shear pin is about a half of an inch away from being able to a straight...

    B7100 front spindle knock???

I was able to slip the yoke back onto the shaft but it appears that the shear pin has sheared so it will fall out again. The angle that the pin is at looks like it will be near impossible to punch or drill it out not to mention driving another pin in there. any tips??/ Thanks

    B7100 front spindle knock???

Thanks Sam. I have a regular standard shift transmission with 4 lug fronts. Lifted the tractor up a bit and found the noise is actually the u-joint / yoke of the front driveshaft slipped out of the transfer case output shaft. I'm not sure how to put it back together though. Any thoughts

    B7100 front spindle knock???

I normally use my B7100 in 4wd because of the hills and uneven terrain on my property. Today I was backing up and making a sharp turn and all of the sudden a loud knock started coming out from what appears to be the right front wheel spindle area. I straightened the wheel out and the noise...

B7100D transmission oil.... scrapper wont lift

My B7100D has a rear scrapper and it is not going up. I checked the transmission fluid and it is low. I am assuming that the scrapper is controlled by the transmission. I checked the manual and it's giving me UDT hydrostatic fluid for the trans but mine is gear driven. I have some Coastal...

What model loader do I have on my B7100???

Hi folks, I'm a newbie to the tractor world and I need some help. I have a B7100 and both of my loader cylinders are leaking. I thought it would be easy enough to look up the parts and take them to be rebuilt. Problem is that there appears to be a bunch of different loaders out there and I...

    Alternator / generator not charging

I finally had a chance to check the voltage output of the dynamo. Max output at full throttle is 28 VAC. On the output side of the regulator not plugged into the load, the output of the regulator is 23 VDC. Once I plug the lead into the harness the voltage of that lead drops to 11.8 VDC which...

    Alternator / generator not charging

I will check at full throttle. I had to replace the connectors that connect the engine compartment harness and the dash harness. I went to unplug it and the plastic connectors crumpled in my hand. I cut the wires and re-crimped to new connectors and now the connection is good. I will test...

    Alternator / generator not charging

17 VAC was at 3/4 throttle Sam. How about a pic of the shape of the wrench that y'all bent to make this work? Thanks

    Alternator / generator not charging

Thanks Tiger. That's exactly what I did. I disconnected the 2 grey wires at the regulator and measured there. I'm going to step back from the charging issue for a while. I'm not prepared to take the head off at this moment. Thanks for your help.

    Alternator / generator not charging

Thanks for the pictures Dan. I put my meter in AC mode and measured 17 volts right before it gets into the regulator so the Dynamo is not putting out enough. I pulled the radiator out a couple inches and I see the 4 bolts that hold the fan on but I don't know how the dynamo comes out. Does...

    Alternator / generator not charging

Good info guys. Thanks. I'll retest with my meter in AC and go across both wires to see what the output is. I read elsewhere that output is supposed to be around 43V as Kubotasam mentions. In looking at the tight engine compartment, do I have to take the radiator out to get the Dynamo out...
